Like if you have no exact knowledge, but it's pretty obvious, and you sell them things like rings or cars... then is that illegal?

What are you trying to ask?

If you make a private party sale to someone, regardless of their occupation, it's legal unless you're selling illegal (stolen or banned) items.

If you are selling it to them with knowledge of what they do in order to help them do what they're doing intentionally, you might get in trouble for that, but that's a major stretch.

That came to mind, but how does it apply? Aiding them to do what, exactly? Because the cars could be used in furthering their .. activities .. ? Because the rings would help them look their role and do more business?? What

Maybe the professional criminals you're dealing with won't end taking you for everything. Maybe the guy they introduce you to next isn't trigger happy. One thing is pretty certain though - if you get involved in some shit, it's gonna stink in the end. Whether the thieves end up stealing your stuff or the law is all over you or whatever, eventually we know it always goes bad.

well, if they are under investigation and being watched. then it would all be a problem. which usually happens sooner or later if they are big enough to be worth going after. and if they are buying stuff for this reason, it usually makes them big enough.

The fact is they still played a significant role in trafficking of an illegal product. Charges will get laid, it's just procedure unfortunately. But if they really didn't have knowledge that the products were counter-fit, then it would be very easy to get any charges dropped in court with a decent lawyer. We're talking about leisure items being sold that have no impetus to whatever crimes these guys are breaking... apples and oranges.
