Which one is the best one, no other brand, just these two. For laptop, not desktop.

Asus is pretty decent, I have 2 Asus laptops, one with almost 3 years(core2duo) and other with 1 year(i3) and so far so good.

I had an IBM Lenova Thinkpad a few years ago... amazing specification at the time and absolutely solid build. It was a brilliant laptop with the exception of the absolute dreadful battery life, I don't think I could ever get more than 2 hours out of that bloody thing.
Asus machines have always looked tacky and fragile to me.

I have had the same Lenovo Netbook as my main laptop at home for over 3 years now, and have never had a problem, except for that glass of wine that got spilled in the keyboard. Replaced the keyboard and it still works great.

Lenovo makes a good solid reliable laptop. I haven't look at an asus lately but a couple of years ago they seemed like cheap junk.
