I was there til my dad's last breath, there was lots of shit that made no sense. It was like he was hallucinating. They were lucky it seems Steve was with it til almost the very end. For my dad it was like his spirit left a week before his body did.

My GF work with all these old people, taking care of them and sometimes she have to sit next to the bed when some old dude is dying so they wont be alone.
It's pretty common that they suddenly sit up and start to have a conversation starring right into the wall right before they die. Maybe talking a bit to Jebus before crossing over.
