Dictatorships are always born in the same way. They gather support under the guise of restoring equality and justice and opposing tyranny. Then they fuck everyone over once they have power and usually do anything necessary to keep it.

Not sure how you can consider that to be honest.

It is not pure bullshit at all. My uncle was renting apartments to several Libyan students here and what you read is true. Unfortunately, they canceled apartments recently because of collapse of government and people support programs there. Maybe to you it sounds incredible that those things actually exist, but they really do. believe it or not,I am just writing you from very nice apartment that my father gave me and he got it from the state while this was socialistic country. And he didn't had any contact with regime,politicians, or antyhing, it was just as planned, he got from state after he finished university (engineer), that was,like in Libya, completely free. So if you think I am lying, that's fine, but my goal is to explain that there are different systems out there , and most of them destroyed by "west".

I won't answer to porno jew, not because I don't have what to say, but because it will be too much time spent for nothing. (because if someone can have views like that, no one will change his mind especially on porn boards)

The West grades foreign dictators as good or bad, it just depends on their how useful/expendable they are

comming from former commie country too, i have to tell that while we had such programs or rights sometimes, but usually the best connected were first one the line. then second best connected and so on...it was simply state and communist party mafia, while average and least connected people were last in the line. It should be the same case in Libya.
I am really surprised to see someone from former socialistic country speaking highly about past. Where are you from?

Yugoslavia. It was considered "west" during communist time for most of Eastern europe and socialistic model was completely different (private business wasn't forbidden but important indistries and all big facotires were under state control) . As I've mentioned, my father got it without any connection or position,and few decades before him, my grandmother also got apartment (although smaller, but again,it was completely free). She was ordinary employee in bank (now ruined and sold to Germans, of course).
