I just picked this up for the PS3 last night...played a bit of single player, 1 game of multiplayer...I'm not too sure on this one, the original consumed a good part of my 20's so I felt, hell I better get this thing...all in all i find the single player part of it too different from what I was expecting out of a battlefield game, no bots/quick combat to check out the levels, etc...just go right in against 12 yr olds...

I'll give it a bit more time, anyone else on PS3...hit me up, add to list...

I dunno wether to get it or not yet, also, I'm unsure what console to get it on, my Xbox or my PS3. Most of the guys in the office are on Xbox but my friends back in Scotland are on PS3.

I didn't see in the store last night, which was fine by me. I'm not the type of person who needs to get it the first week, and even more so being as I'm a PC guy who plays online. Give it a few weeks until everyone figures out how to configure the servers.

I play the PC version btw.

I played the beta, this game rocks. It's not like BFBC2 or even BF2/BF2142. It's less action herorism and more realism - or at least that's what I learned from the few hours I played.

I've tried 2 hours now, can't get the shit to run though. But it's launch day here in EU so that's to be expected. I'll try again tomorrow

hope to see some of you ingame haha

I'm so glad I rented from RedBox for PS3, instead of paying 50 buck for the PC version. I hear you can get through the campaign in 4 hours -- and I'm not much for Multiplayer. Although I will admit that if any game will get me back into multiplayer, this one could be it.

The whole battle field franchise has always been about multiplayer, most of the earlier versions didn't even have a campaign. Only single player with bots (that was pretty lame lol).

I never got to play yesterday and today I have to wait until I'm done with work lol, so tempting to just boot it up and try :D must resist!

Yes it is very good.
Multiplayer is very smooth and fast.
I am on PS3 and there's only 24 players so on PC it will be better (64 players). I used to play BF1942 (yes that's about 10 years ago) on PC but the graphics are now just much better. Last year I played Call Of Duty Black Ops but BF3 is just much better.

I am not a freaky player (I only play about 30 minutes - 1 hour per day to relieve some stress) but I do this for years and this is the best I have ever seen!
