LA wembaster socials - Los Angeles webmasters only.

Continued from last thread...I used to attend social meetings in San Diego where webmasters / models / photographers could gather and just jam. Now that I am in LA, I would like to attend similar get-togethers. I take it after 2 weeks here, there are none.

I was thinking of organizing some, and seeing who shows up. Could take a while to build, but could also be prolific.

One of the locations I checked out was this sports bar.

there was an LA gathering last night hosted by D$/Affiliate Ball. it was a coctail party but i don't have the details now, it was an event in facebook and not in my lineup since its past. i'm sure there will be picks since Baddog went. add Darren Blatt on fb and you will be in that loop. Xbiz also has LA gatherings so make sure you add them as well

Nah that spot isn't the best for meetings. Lots of open tables there though- hit me if you want to play.

A few of us get together here in Hollywood once every couple of weeks, usually at Boardners, Velvet Margarita, Lucky Strike or the bar at the Roosevelt...

It's closed off but if you bang cards, have 6 cross sales below the join button and don't pay affiliates you'll fit right in.

All kidding aside, we trade info, talk about exoclick a lot, google trends and more. Super chill. Small group 4-6 guys. No shooters really, just prog owners and a couple of exceptionally brilliant Tube Masters. We get the tube guys drunk at Jumbos Clown Room and they give us free video B buttons. Join us!

Where is the list? We are in Calabasas and there is a great place for day time meet ups and night time at a place called the Sage Brush Cantina. Lots of hot girls work there

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

Its always a great idea to have a gathering for some business networking and a bit of fun. For those of you that know Joe, he is having his yearly Christmas party at Staples in early December. CamperJohn you might consider joining this one, and putting something together after the New Year.

Unfortunately, this is one of the things that I REALLY dislike about American Webmasters... SO SECULAR...

I mean, here I am in the UK, ready to drive 300 miles to the airport in London (And need to return later) - (Gas = $300) then get a flight - return - to LA ( $2500 ) pay for travel from LAX to location - and back later ( $100 ) plus pay for a nights accommodation at a nice hotel befitting me... ( $250 )

Lets add that up... 300 + 2500 + 100 + 250 = $3100.00

Just to pop over and say 'Hi'... And because I am not local - I am not welcome!

I'd be down for coming out to most of the locations suggested. Although it is kind of loud and not a cool hangout at night, 5750 wouldn't be bad in the daytime or early evening.

The place in San Diego is a restaurant / sportsbar that has enough room for about 10-15 people that show up regularly. I think I can find the same thing here, and will try to set something up for next Tuesday and see what happens.
