450 minutes is 7.5 hours. No, its not 450 minutes per day, its 450 minutes per month. Plus I get free mobile to mobile, free nights and free weekends. So its 450 minutes during the daytime monday-friday, not to mobile phones. I have 14,000 minutes rolled over, mostly from when I my son was on my account and we shared 1400 minutes per month. He doesnt talk on the phone much either but uses the shit out of the unlimited data plan.

I pay 140 for 2 blackberry's and one android each of them with 50 minutes... yes 50.... a month! and 150 txt msgs. and thats wihtout the overage charges, usually I end up paying 230 or so.
But hey, I got unlimited 2g data on the Bb and 3g on the Android.

I pay fix bill 11eur per month for 350minutes, 350sms, 350mb, all after that is paid per 1/2minute,sms,kb

For all 3 phones in the household (2xiPhone (the girls), 1xAndroid (mine)) I pay between $150-200 a month.

If they go above data plan, they just get throttled. No extra fee.

In the UK I pay £20 for unlimited data with 3 mobile on the iPhone, and 5000 or so minutes and 5000 texts.

Never really use the calls too much but I can eat up 500-600MB of data a month depending where I am.

The following month I paid £55 ($90ish) but then had a crap load of call charges from extra mins... :( Wished I had stayed on the higher line as the extra mins took the bill up to £90! For the US thats about $150 for one phone!!! :2 cents:

I'm with Rogers. I've got My 10 Canada/US, 200 anytime minutes, evenings starting at 6pm, a program that lets my anytime/evening/weekend minutes be anywhere in Canada, a social media package, unlimited incoming/outgoing texts and the standard answering machine/call waiting stuff... $42 plus tax. A combination of not caring that I don't have a smart phone and doing a little negotiation based on being a long time customer means that I'm not spending a fortune, but I am getting to stay in contact with my friends and family all over the place with very few restrictions.

You could get a plan where she can text as she wish, call or receive calls from 10 "friendly" numbers and pay a little extra to get a deal on long distance calls.

here is an idea...make them pay for their own phone. if they are old enough to rack up such charges they should have a job to pay for it. at least you could put a limit on the data..once she used 1gig or whatever, thats it. no more til next month.
