What do I seem to know? That OWS is one protest inside the Occupy movement? That it's happening in 1000's of cities across the globe? Or is it that fact that you can simply check Google Images of the various protests and OWS, and clearly see it's much more than a distant corner shot that claims to be the protest?

Obviously you know something they don't if you can say they are "not getting it right" or are not "reporting it fairly." Personally, I don't think it is their job to "help it." Not sure why you think that is the job of the media.

Could you point out the last time fox, cnn, msnbc, ect did any actual reporting? Where the reporter actually investigates what's happening and produces an indepth report on it, without a slant?

Where is the report that covers of the real reasons behind the protest? Like breaking down the criminal activities, fraud, corruption, and influence some of these groups/people/corps, etc have over our financial systems, gov, politicians, states, etc. It's not like it's a secret, it's not like it doesn't happen... but why don't we have reports on it?

Why's it always drum circles, hippies, and college kids that are broke, unemployed, and lacking a core message thus have no message? When Google Images disproves this instantly.

Where are the reports showing the police crossing the legal line, and why do we have to wait to "see" the truth on the Internet rather than from them?

I didn't say it was the job of the media to help. I did say "or do anything to actually help it" - meaning, if they actually covered the truth, did some real reporting, you would have millions of more people protesting..... but, that's not what they do, at all.

Thus we have people like those in this thread that think it's a joke, basically because daddy media hasn't told them otherwise.

Just like many here, the words hippies, drum circles, college kids, etc was repeated because that's what the media said.

However, once several pictures were posting that disproved that, it quickly stopped around here... but the media still spews it.

I haven't attended the NYC event or any even close to the same size but I assure you I know more about how many people are there on a day to day basis and what the majority of them stand for than Minte or anyone else in here talking shit.

Maybe a bad example since SEO webhosting is highly disputed as being effective but you get the point. There are enough resources available to anyone with an internet connection to get a damn good idea of what is happening somewhere without ever stepping foot on the ground and that means that there is enough information available to know that Minte's assessment of the protests is bullshit bred from ignorance.
