Backup

Thanks for the reminder to backup my laptop.
Had my laptop stolen a few years ago. Insurance got me a new one, but not the pictures that were only on that hard drive.
The laptop was in a backpack under the bed, along with my passport. I reported the passport stolen. Got a form letter from the State Dept., saying the passport was canceled and I must turn in the canceled passport. WTF??

as for the heroes talking about warning shots.. how prepared would you have to be to have a gun out and ready for warning shots to have been made? Anything aside from having one in a holster would be FAR too late, they would be long gone before you even got it out and you'd just look like a retard firing off 20 seconds later. SECONDLY, the fact that she admittedly is not that familiar with guns, no less hand guns, would mean she, if she got it out fast enough, would fire once get startled from it and possibly drop it... Not everyone is dirty Harry.

If I ever felt the need to have to bring a gun on my way to the gym in the morning i'd probably move...

I'm very aware that what goes up, must come down. But the statement was about her firing warning shots at people. Warning shots are fired up in the air or directly into the ground, not aimed at the crowd. Common sense and fire arm safety.

I had just bought it so there wasn't actually much on it yet. Which, was a bit of a blessing when I thought I wasn't getting it back. Plus, much of what I use it for is on the cloud thingie.
