Venus Berlin, one of the last remaining Large shows around. Always loved this show, with it's anything goes on the show floor attitude.

This year was no different, although not as large as in past years, it was still worth attending, from both the entertainment and Business perspectives.

I guess Fabian forgot to tell all the formerly big shows that the industry is making more money than ever and piracy is great.

What are the reasons over there?

Over here...it's the reasons I gave. The AEE show has just as many fans show up (all walking around asking "Where are the girls"). But only a handful of companies still putting up booths and displaying. Most of those companies that aren't showing up anymore have also shut down production. Was just discussing this the other night over dinner with some of the people in the industry.

But tell me the reasons that the show is smaller now in Europe, since it must be completely different and it has no effect on European shows.

There was a faction that split from the Venus show and started their own competing event, this put a dent in the # of exhibitors available, hence the smaller show

I"m guessing the crowds (fans) are still there though right?
At least that's what I saw at AEE in Vegas last year. Tons of fans...with much less for them to see.

I'm thinking that AVN may have to step up in place of the now non-existent companies that used to bring in all the girls and booths and excitement. I think they are going to need to bring the girls in themselves. Or at least take advantage of all the porn industry girls who are in Vegas and get them walking the floor in little AVN t-shirts and entertaining the fans.

Once the fans & mainstream medai stop coming to AEE that will be the end.
