Melissa was the first paysite I did in adult, well before FYC. I was an affiliate, we got fucked over at the time by the guy who was managing the site - Jim from Nebraska Coeds. I got fucked for $15k, Melissa/Shane for a bit more. We decided to come together to do the site. Shane was really the driving force behind the site, I don't think it should come as a shock to anyone that for a long time it was him posing as her (including on this board as Hotmelissa).

This is actually how I transitioned from being an affiliate to a program owner. I managed the website - technical, affiliate support, etc. They shot the content, paid the bills, and ran the brick and mortar operations, and everything else (including controlling the $) After college, I went on to form FYC and the rest with my partners today. So yeah, I understand where the lines are blurred about what my interest is.

I was on a profit split, and I was a minority, they were a majority. When she went independent, she had a lot of people contacting her to do her site, including Lensman from here at the time. Melissa's site was great for a period of time. Fuck, when she went hardcore, that thing shot thru the roof, a lot of people made amazing money including the affiliates. They are now out of $, through a bunch of very public poor investment choices that Mutt posted, so there is no $. It's sad, and honestly, I hope they pull through it.

As recently as last week people were complaining about not being paid. This was primarily due to the fact things were left as "unpaid" in payments.php, and I pointed this out to many affiliates who contacted me, because these issues had happened in the past. All affiliates who contacted me, except one (cornh0le) didn't actually know if they were paid or not. The one who was a confirmed non-pay I contacted them about. After about 4 un-replied emails, I told them I needed an answer, and only at that point was I informed they fell arrears by about 2-3 payments to all affiliates. I told them if there is no trajectory to get affiliates paid, then notice has to be given and we need to shut the program down.

its always been easier to get business if you pretend to be a female, and especially hot ones who you can get to spread their legs for pics to drum up thread views, been that way for a LOOOONG time on gfy, im not surprised at all.

Bottom line, there is money still coming in, and rebills that affiliates deserve their share of. All you did was was advise them to fuck over everyone who made you all money, and who is still making you all money. There is trajectory to get affiliates paid, put aside the money the affiliates bring in, and fucking pay them.

True, but you don't have all the facts and honestly, I don't care about posting them. When you have 2 kids with 2 different women, including a recent new born, and they both come asking for more child support, while other businesses are shutting down after being pits for money, the option to pay affiliates goes out the door.

Just this week the NATS license expired. It took him 3 days to arrange a payment of $350 (i think this is what NATS charges for the license, maybe $650). I am not 100% privy to all of his details but I would imagine he's facing bankruptcy.

As for me making money. I have been operating the site at a loss just to ensure affiliates get paid. Now that they are clearly not getting paid, I made it a point that everyone knows.

if the site has 5 active members and you are getting half of that, that covers hosting costs...

i just do not understand how the people who sent the sales are not going to get paid on the rebills they produced. to me thats just flat out theft.

obviously you dont have a family (kids) and/or have never faced bankruptcy. and clearly you dont understand the margins on a paysite because you forgot to include credits, refunds, processing fees, staff, and more.

143,960 uniques to a paysite (just one) and you are telling me they can't afford to live and pay their affiliates?

You say Bankruptcy? What is the case number? If they really are doing that it is all the reason to try to not piss people off because all it takes is for someone to go to the trustee and bring up that this money was potentially obtained fraudulently (by defrauding affiliates) and the bankruptcy will take YEARS to complete.

What I think (based upon the numbers I see) is that someone just decided that they would make more by closing down the affiliate program and keeping rebills than they would make by accepting new joins from affiliates. This is due to the decline in sales. I don't know for sure but that is what I would suspect. Especially if there is no real BK filing.
