The local amphitheatre has a program where you can volunteer to work serving food and booze at a concert, and instead of paying you they donate the money to your kid's sports team to cover their registration fees. My daughter is a cheerleader, and because of new uniforms next year registration costs will be through the roof - $1300. (Football team is going into their final game this weekend and is undefeated!) My wife has done this four times already and found it fun. So tonight I'll be flipping bugers... And listening to Journey play live!
