Can you only get the iphone at the Apple store today? I was going to swing by the ATT store this morning after a conference call cause I figure it won't be packed. Fuck going to the Apple store though, that place is a zoo to begin with - definitely not going on the day of a product launch. I hate crowds.

Maybe it's a generational thing but to me a phone is just a tool, an appliance. The only time I give a fuck about my toaster is if I want toast. $200 with a 2 year contract for a $60/month phone plan or something like that (so total cost more like $1500)... but that's not even the point, I just find it weird, that people are comparing the economy now a days to the great depression... and yet we see lines with people waiting hours to buy a new gadget...
... then after they pick up the new iphone, half the people there will probably march over to the "Occupy Wall Street" rally to bitch about how the rich are taking advantage of them...
