Up to my neck in womens panties...

I've started a lingerie, bikini, and costume company. It's called ?Honey Cups?.

    WHY?

As a content shooter, I've always needed a fresh stream of sexy wardrobe for shoots. I've bought plenty of costumes off the racks at brick-and-mortar stores; this is fast and you bring it home the same day, but the mark-up is expensive and the selection is limited. I've also cleared out whole aisles of bras and outfits at places like Target and Victoria's Secret, but again, the end checkout can get expensive, and the look of what they carry can be repetitive and conservative.

The best solution I eventually found as a big buyer was to order directly from clothing manufacturers in bulk. But this wasn't totally ideal, since the minimum orders are high, and the shipping costs and transit times sucked when all I needed was a few things fast. Not to mention the quality being hit-or-miss, and the products not matching the pictures.

If you've had an experience like mine, I'm hoping Honey Cups might be useful to you.

    HONEY CUPS IS HELPFUL BECAUSE...

The prices are cheap, there's no minimum order, the shipping is fast and stateside, and all the product pictures are ones that I've taken myself of our actual inventory, so what you see is what you actually get.

For example, all of our Halloween costumes are $19.99. And these are the same type costume-in-a-bag outfits that you see in novelty shops for $45-$90.

I'm not looking to get rich off it, and I think that's indicated by the low prices. The real benefit for me is just having a constant and ready supply of new lingerie to give the models. My business partner Vanessa handles all the orders and sales on the day-to-day, and will fulfill your order if you make one. I'm glad to have her. She has experience in selling designer womens shoes and clothing both wholesale and retail, and absolutely fucking loves lingerie.

If we don't have anything you need now, bookmark us! Or ?Like? our page on Facebook to keep up with the latest, including special sales.

    Thanks for reading!

you bought direct from China/Hong Kong? i've been thinking about trying that experiment for a long time.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

I did not read any of that, because I saw no panties - except for maybe pic number one...

VERY NICE looking girls, though. I love the massively growing cosplay niche. Girls love to dress up... Men like to dress their ladies up... A GREAT market to look into.

Yes sir - tried out a few.

The weirdest thing I've found out is this - The Chinese do NOT understand pirates. I've ordered pirate costumes from 8 different offshore manufacturers, and only 1 was a pirate to my satisfaction. The print on the pirate costume is always weird, with dragons on it, or the hat is floppy, or shaped like a rice farmer hat. Unshootable.

and how do the ONE SIZE costumes fit models?

been meaning to try this for 2 years because the prices are so low - a lion costume we paid 55 dollars for i see on Asian sites for 9-12 dollars.

what % is the custom duties? in Canada if i recall it was as high as 24% on women's clothing from China.

Depends who you deal with. I'm finding that a lot of them try to bypass it by cramming everything into a super tight small box and marking "product samples" on it. At least, I think that's why they're doing that.

As far as one-size-fits all, it's same experience as store bought costumes in bags - with some taller girls, the dresses can be high and show the bottoms of their asses, but that's arguably the point anyway, and with others they get more coverage, and they seem happy about that. The materials vary, but tend to be somewhat stretchy, so the form-fitting is generally pretty good no matter which of our models is wearing them. I haven't put one on a plus-sized model, only because we don't have one right now

it's not just costumes and lingerie, i've found Asian suppliers of fashion type clothing for a fraction of what they cost in stores like Forever21. i did talk to a photographer who had bought some and he said the clothing isn't well made but since the clothes are just meant for a couple of photoshoots it doesn't matter.

Looks good, you ever check into locally made costumes for a comparison. Would be interesting to weigh the differences.

In any case you now have the costumes for a full blown cos-play site within which you can upsell the actual costumes used...kill 2 boids with one stone as it were;)
