I saw the thread, think the girl is hot, and decided to give it a shot. I've never made a site that published content to just promote one solo girl. It will be an interesting experiment for me. If it does well, there is another avenue to explore. Always testing, always trying new things, keeps me interested :thumbsup

Sorry to be a downer but I have to chime in on this circle jerk...I'm one of Mutt's biggest fans but this homepage is the essence of cookie cutter compared to such brilliance as Jewel.

Good point but we are after all talking about designs and the amount of months (or years) Mutt spends to launch a girl you would think that an extraordinary amount of thought and effort would go into the tour, and although this is some very nice design, very clean, it looks like it took a few hours to do (aside from the great logo)

I agree ... jewel is in a nice piece of work. I wasnt trying to emulate that style so you cant compare them. This is one page Mutt has "leaked".. and he's i think he's done it becuase he's seen the whole tour/blog combo and he's excited as hell.

A design is a frame to compliment the girls character *if she has one... And this girl has her character totally encapsulated in this design.

I hear alot of people talking about wanting less cookie cutter, less plain, more personality, etc

However it's about sales in total.

Sometimes it's better to make a plain pair of blue jeans instead of putting a ton of emblems and stuff on the pockets, etc

Alot of guys arent into comic books or that whole flavour. While its great you cater more to that personality and you'll please those fans even more, you guys tend to forget that you want to cater to the masses. There is nothing wrong with a plain design, a cookie cutter design, etc, theres alot more to it than that when it comes to a successful solo girl. Which mainly includes proper promotion.

Actually in my opinion, a tour doesn't make a big difference at all, as long as it's semi clean, easy to navigate and has good clean images of the model, they should make it to the join page alright. The people who still signup to solo girl sites aren't coming to their first solo girl site, they know how it works. All the other stuff, including the fancy designs, is to impress other webmasters and gather some respect and to prove they actually put the time and effort into their program in order to help attract affiliates

And regarding people and their knock on cookie cutter designs and strategies, theyre the chosen strategy because they work. Anything that works in 2012 should be duplicated.

Sadly there isn't a profit margin to screw around anymore, if you waste 25k on a solo girl site because you wanted to try some new things out, you could be shit out of luck with launching another one for an entire year.. or more

Nothing i've said is a knock on CatieMinx's site, anything Mutt/John produces will be good and promoted properly

I absolutely agree that all the whiz bang graphics probably don't do much for conversions... its just taste and fun, trying to out do your last site etc...impress the aff's and so on. This new Minx tour will probably convert as well as any other - it is after all- all about the girl.

I think posting destiny pics in this thread really takes the attention away from CatieMinx. lol Destiny is on another level ;D
