Bought an iPad 2 64G/WiFi/3G today!

I bought an iPad 2 64GB 3G WiFi version today. I already love it. It's fantastic , much of an improvement over the first model.

Tragic loss of Steve Jobs, unfortunately few people survive his condition more than a few years, I hope Apple continues down the path of bringing beautifully designed and highly useful products to us all.

I think it was good value, I would not recommend getting the WiFi only version as I think mobile data is one of those things you'd be wanting if you didn't have it.

Better yet get AppleTV so you can mirror what's on your iPad and iPhone wirelessly onto your TV. I went to Apple and bought the $40 HDMI connector and it's unsightly and way too short unless your couch is a foot away from your TV. For the extra $60 bucks ($99 for AppleTV) you can do the same thing without the wires AND get all the features of AppleTV.

It's just an extra $60, but a colossal difference. Enjoy your new toy!

My phone has 4G that I can use to create a hotspot that any of my other wireless devices can connect to. No need saddling myself with yet another contract and monthly service charge.

ok what do i need i need a tablet to use on the net and i really like the android market that i have been using for 2 years know but ive played with the ipad and i like it

Got one for my gf's bday..

Its great for surfing.. email, etc..
no Adobe Flash like the iphone which is lame.. couldnt see our tracker
after ordering Domino's pizza.

Sure you can use apple tv to mirror it and when ios5 comes out it'll be even better..
but you're locked into watching whatevers compatible with itunes.. no avi/divx.. remember no flash tv stations... I'd like a mac os x lion tablet... even the windows 8 tablet coming looks good..

Apple products are way too expensive, certainly in Europe!
I use Black Berry Bold 9700 + Samsung Galaxy S2 (i9100) and the latter one is way much better than Iphone4 and a bit cheaper! Apple is sold here with contracts and I don't like that as I want to be free to use the cheapest network! BB is good for my email management and the Galaxy for media.
But I know that without Steve Jobs there was no Samsung Galaxy S2. And to be honest: if Apple products were cheaper I would go for the Apple iphone + tab! But if there's no price drop (I doubt that will ever come) I will never buy an Apple product!

Sold an old one and bought a v2 about 2 months ago, it's much better then the 1st.
It's irrelevant talking the price of apple products, even I can afford it.

I might pickup an iPad3 when it's slated to come out early next year. Rumors of a quadcore processor, 2048 x 1536 resolution screen, slimmer design and 2gb of ram sounds pretty amazing.

I Love myn, got it in white and even have a cute pink cover on it lol

I have a app that allows me to remote access my desktop, so that's pretty cool when I am travelling around...

I do not see the usefulness for any ipad.
It's just a bigger iphone that cannot make phone calls.
You could use it if you are interested to test your white label or your own site on it but what else?

Why aren't all TVs the same screen size since they all basically do the same thing?

I will probably go with an Asus eee pad transformer next week. With the dock station keyword w/ usb, hdmi, memory slot.
Looks like the best buy at the moment. Simply don't want to enter the geeky Apple world: overhype, expensive, compatibility problems, brainswashed followers...

You said it right! basically.
But iPad lacks telephone calls function that iPhone actually has.
Is like to say about 2 television: one smaller with which you can do everything (watching regular channels, play consoles, going on internet etc...) and the other one bigger but that do not display regular channels.

If there was no iPhone and only the iPad had telephone call function people would be complaining that it was too big to carry around to use as a phone. The iPad is not a phone and it isn't meant to replace the phone however one can Skype on it.

While the iPhone can do pretty much everything the ipad can do AND actually function as a phone, the only reason to get an iPad would be to enjoy a much larger screen view than an iPhone which was the point of my TV post. Given a choice of watching a two hour movie on a flight with either an iPhone or an iPad I'm pretty sure the ipad would win.

Another reason to have an iPad is it can be used without committing to an annual service contract. If one could only have one device, the iPhone would be the smart choice as it can do it all. The iPad compliments the iphone by being bigger and I'm pretty sure that everyone that gets an iPad didn't choose it over a phone as they already have one.
