My last post on the subject since you seem to be really slow:
1) I was going to provide the clients. I was going to provide a high end design. You had to provide 5 mins of your time (well, since your PC is slow let's say 10).

2) I've customized MANY flash players and I know how much time it takes once you have all the elements. But let's say it would take you 2 hours. If I ask ANY DESIGNER OR DEVELOPER "hey, I'll give you everything you need and a portfolio of clients and you'll need to work a couple hours" I can bet you 99.999999999999% of people would kill for this. Your answer asking for money upfront was so crazy I simply didn't care. I spend way more than $300 per week on development (make it double or triple). One thing is: "hey, that's cool, but what about a plan to develop this or that and add more features? I just need x amount of money" and another thing is your approach.

3) You seem to forget your player's features ALREADY EXISTS. Even FOR FREE.

4) I already have customized players with way more features than yours. You're so dense you can't even realize I was handling you some help like I did with tens of developers or even designers (yeah, even my own competition) in this board

5) I was very clear I wasn't going to sell your player. Instead, that I'd send you my clients. And stop dreaming, nobody will pay $100 for that. You would need to find this concurrence of events:
a) someone that doesn't know ANYTHING about video players
b) on top of that, someone that is interested in slow motion rather than any feature that actually makes money
c) someone that on top of the previous conditions doesn't care AT ALL about the look of their sites.

6) and yes, with all of the above, in exchange of clients and design so you could actually make a sale, I requested that MY DESIGN wasn't available for anyone else. Yeah, what an asshole of me not benefiting everybody else off my FREE work :Oh crap

Now, see what any smart person would have done or said:
1) "hey, I can make my player better, I can showcase it, I can make it stand out and I have to give nothing in exchange!"
2) wow, now I can have great themes/skins and sell my player with my default or charge a plus for HQ skin customization
3) wow, someone is providing me with FREE leads to make sales... and even a better look.. FOR FREE!
4) cool, now I can concentrate in making money and creating a client base
5) add any decent option here

and the results:
1) a decent player you can't sell
2) you lost a safe portfolio of clients
3) a horrible look like everybody is telling (which in turn will make you won't be able to sell it)
4) you lost any future chance of working with several people in this board

and all of this because:
1) you were greedy
2) you ARE stubborn

Anyway, like I said, good luck, as you can see I didn't even mention the players with similar features other people could buy or acquire for free to avoid more harm that the one you already done to yourself. If you can't get a learning from this, your loss :2 cents:

That's not a problem to have someone else do a skin.

The problem is he wants a guarantee that I will never make a design in my player that
"looks like his". The problem is that his design is going to be developed based on
how my player works so in someone's opinion it may always look like his design.

I mean, what's he going to do; make the "slow" button blue and then sue me
if I release a version with a blue "slow" button?????

His conditions were not realistic.

I did agree to never intentionally make a "look alike design".
That wasn't good enough for him.

He cancelled the plans, not me.
And he never complained about how much I asked him to pay until now.

Harvey is a very reasonable guy - I'm sure he'll clarify what he wanted to do. But if somebody pays you for unique skin there's nothing wrong with requiring exclusivity on that skin.
