It was Italy/Europe, NOT the USA, the investigation will continue, when Solicitto grows some balls and realises Knox wants nothing to do with him, he'll spill the beans :) |
Please quote me where the judge said she ......."she was not guilty" and/or "acquitted"

Come back with whatever answer you want and I'll say goodnight BUT............. Your friend is murdered in the place you live with her.......you are either there....or you are NOT THERE. If you are NOT at the place you live you will have an alibi, or CCTV or something to validate that claim. Unless the Italian police have started to use US rendition and torture tactics it would be astonishing that a person as cool and intelligent as Amanda Knox would not only confess to being somewhere she wasn't but would also PRETEND that she heard the murder being committed by her former employer whilst she clasped her hands over her ears. Her former employer who was not within a mile of the location at the time !! Even some torture wouldn't produce such nonsense that would later be retracted never mind a few hours of interrogation. She was also found GUILTY of libeling a police officer, making false allegations of abuse against him. I assume you accept this is as true as you accept the so called acquital ? |
I mean what I said, every dna expert that has come forward. As far as her being cool, she was only in Italy a couple months before all of this went down in 2007 and hardly knew the language. She was terrified, taken to a room with several officers and not allowed to have an attorney present and questioned for 14 hours. For over 13 hours she steadfastly told them she and Rafael were at his place hanging out and watching a movie. The hard drive on his laptop that was seized would have corroborated her story, but it was mysteriously destroyed by the police. She took a lie detector test and passed, there's been no physical evidence. You are incredibly naive if you think that torture and endless hours of interrogation can't induce someone to say something they don't mean for the sole sake of it stopping.
She was not found guilty of libeling a police officer, her conviction of defamation of Patrick Lumumba was upheld. That was because the police forced her to point the finger at someone during her initial interrogation ordeal, it was then later discovered that Patrick has an airtight alibi. |

questions that Knox wrote a letter to the cops days later where she "stood by" her statement that Lumumba killed her roommate. That letter was an opportunity for her to clean that up, but the letter reads like she was trying to have it both ways : "blame Lumumba" but "claim it seems like a dream" to have a back up excuse if the Lumumba claim falls apart. |
