The 14 hours of interrogation by police with no attorney present was documented by the police, did you want me to get the police report to prove it to you?

I don't believe that, prove it or shut the fuck up. Either she was at the place or she wasn't....full stop. If she really wasn't what would possess her to say she was and make up such a ridiculous story. I think we have a case here of a superior defence legal team running rings around a semi competent Italian legal system. I think most people with common sense can see the wood for the trees.

meaning i must assuming you heard 'american', 'sex orgy', then thought 'guilty'.

perhaps i have hit a nerve, and 'anti-americanism' means something greater in europe than it does for the rest of the civilized world.

You can't even string a coherent sentence together.

buddy had an apartment by himself

would you stay at ur gfs house with 2+ roommates?

story appears to be plumbing issues and they had gone to her home to shower.. something easily proven yet there seems to be no further mention of that

"WRONG !! She was never found "not guilty" she was found "GUILTY" but on appeal the verdict was overturned BECAUSE the way the Italian police collected forensic evidence "COULD" (and note the word COULD not DID) have led to cross contamination of DNA.
All I would say is if somebody is murdered at the place you live and one day you say you sat in another room with your hands over your ears listening to your boss kill your friend and later change your story and say you were never there at all.....?!?!?"

Contamination or no contamination, every dna expert has come forward and said it would have been impossible for Amanda to have killed the victim in a violent struggle and left no physical evidence on the scene, no dna, no fingerprints, no hair fibers, nothing. Instead they find all kinds of evidence pointing to Rudy Guede, he was found guilty and is in prison, there is your murderer.

You need to understand that this wasn't a retrial, it was an appeal, they are very different entities. Knox has never been found not guilty and neither has Solicetto (for fear that I appear anti-American).............LOL and you wonder why Muslims might have a problem with the US when you can't even comment on a murder case without being accused of being racist !!

Amanda Knox was acquitted today of a murder that riveted three countries for the past four years and just hours later was whisked away from an Italian prison, ending her four-year ordeal

Per Black's Law Dictionary (the reference used by attorneys and law students in the U.S.), acquittal, in criminal law "is the legal certification, usually by jury verdict, that an accused person is not guilty of the charged offense."

It was Italy/Europe, NOT the USA, the investigation will continue, when Solicitto grows some balls and realises Knox wants nothing to do with him, he'll spill the beans :)

Please quote me where the judge said she ......."she was not guilty" and/or "acquitted"

"every dna expert has come forward" Really ? Do you mean every DNA expert on the planet ? or Every DNA expert that fancies Amanda ?

Come back with whatever answer you want and I'll say goodnight BUT.............
Your friend is murdered in the place you live with her.......you are either there....or you are NOT THERE. If you are NOT at the place you live you will have an alibi, or CCTV or something to validate that claim. Unless the Italian police have started to use US rendition and torture tactics it would be astonishing that a person as cool and intelligent as Amanda Knox would not only confess to being somewhere she wasn't but would also PRETEND that she heard the murder being committed by her former employer whilst she clasped her hands over her ears. Her former employer who was not within a mile of the location at the time !! Even some torture wouldn't produce such nonsense that would later be retracted never mind a few hours of interrogation. She was also found GUILTY of libeling a police officer, making false allegations of abuse against him. I assume you accept this is as true as you accept the so called acquital ?

lazycash 10-03-2011 09:04 PM

I mean what I said, every dna expert that has come forward. As far as her being cool, she was only in Italy a couple months before all of this went down in 2007 and hardly knew the language. She was terrified, taken to a room with several officers and not allowed to have an attorney present and questioned for 14 hours. For over 13 hours she steadfastly told them she and Rafael were at his place hanging out and watching a movie. The hard drive on his laptop that was seized would have corroborated her story, but it was mysteriously destroyed by the police. She took a lie detector test and passed, there's been no physical evidence. You are incredibly naive if you think that torture and endless hours of interrogation can't induce someone to say something they don't mean for the sole sake of it stopping.

She was not found guilty of libeling a police officer, her conviction of defamation of Patrick Lumumba was upheld. That was because the police forced her to point the finger at someone during her initial interrogation ordeal, it was then later discovered that Patrick has an airtight alibi.

Amanda Knox freed: cleared of murder of Meredith Kercher
Amanda Knox has been dramatically acquitted of the murder of Meredith Kercher, despite a last-ditch appeal from the British student?s family to uphold the conviction.

A jury in Perugia, where the murder took place four years ago, overturned Knox's 26-year jail sentence for the sexual assault and murder of the Leeds University student.

She will walk free from Capanne prison, outside Perugia, after serving four years for a crime that the appeal court ruled she did not commit.

Her Italian former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito also had his murder conviction quashed.

Hundreds of people gathered in the streets outside the court shouted "shame" when they heard about the decision.

Knox was told she must pay 22,000 Euros in compensation to Diya "Patrick" Lumumba, a barman she falsely accused of the murder.

Knox?s family, who had always believed in her innocence, were ecstatic. They said they were "thankful that Amanda's nightmare is over".
Every media outlet I've read, U.S., UK, all say acquitted. I'm too lazy to look for court records/transcripts, but if every media outlet is saying the same thing, well...

I believe that people can make false confessions under police pressure, but it raises
questions that Knox wrote a letter to the cops days later where she "stood by"
her statement that Lumumba killed her roommate.

That letter was an opportunity for her to clean that up, but the letter reads like she
was trying to have it both ways : "blame Lumumba" but "claim it seems like a dream" to
have a back up excuse if the Lumumba claim falls apart.
