Owning an adult business and obtaining a home loan

What has your experience been with getting a home loan as a business owner with your business being in the adult industry?

It seems the more I pay in taxes the better my numbers on line 31 of the schedule C , and the more I qualify for.

What has your experience been?

there was a thread about this a few months back

think of it this way

Remove "adult" from the title of this thread and you are no different than any other business owner attempting to get a home loan

If you do not have a company set up that you draw a salary from then just have a few years of tax returns handy for the bank

lots of ways to make it easier on your self for this.
Bad part you have to set them up before you want the loan.

I have had absolutely no problems with the 2 banks I deal with. They know we're in adult and don't care. My bank manager loves me, and never felt for a second they would drag their feet for anything we ever wanted.

Getting the best rate for a home loan and using your local bank generally do not go hand in hand.

It's no more problematic than if you had a non adult business.

If you are self employed they need 2 years of tax returns and take the average to see what you make per month.

If you pay yourself a salary it's a lot easier, just show your pay stubs

Just went through the entire process for a mortgage as we are building a new home

put more money down and go the "no doc" route. Don't show them anything if you don't want to. Usually 55-60% LTV, so you would have to put about 40-45% down

if so then yur an employee and its just like working for any other company. I have buoght several homes, cars and wha not, never an issue... of course I dont say I am an adult wesite owner, the type of business is irrelevant, you just put down your job position, web deleloper, website management, photographer, graphic artist, network administrator...its your business, you give yourself what ever position you want

Pay a shady mortgage broker $1k like I did, he worked his magic and got me a sweet interest rate much lower than the banks could offer.

Not always true, I did this and would have had to give all kinds of paperwork on the business

You run a business. Generally you will find you need to show income for the past couple years. After that easy. Like zoxxa said and what I did was had a friend that was a broker that dialed me into an awesome rate fixed. Shopped my shit all around and then I picked the deal.
