Ostensibly, they are both the same game.

I played Wolfenstien, Doom, Quake, Unreal, Half Life, Team Fortress, Counterstrike... and its all still the same. Prettier graphics, perhaps, but they're both the same game. Run around and get killed - and taunted - by a bunch of twelve year olds.

Counterstike was the pinnacle. Every game since CS is just melting frosting.

eh pretty broad statement that i think is just generated to apply to some newbie gamers. i don't consider myself hardcore in anyway, but played both and am able to tell the difference right away if i was to sit down and play either in a few secs

Quake II was the shit.

I also liked the original Halo multiplayer on the PC. I'll throw a sticky grenade at your ass and watch you jump around until you blow up.

I agree, there are differences and if you have played them before you can certainly tell.
