I'm sure droids have come on a long way, and maybe there are more benefits to having one over the iphone, but once you've had an iphone for a period of time it's impossible to change... for me any way

I had an HTC Incredible that I had to get the extended battery for. I had an issue and after 5 factory replacements in a week, they gave me a DROIDX. I get 8-9 hours of constant use using it pretty much as a tab + a few hours of calls.

I get my yearly upgrade in six weeks. Was going to go with an iPhone but after a few days having this DROIDX I realized I am happy with droid.

I went from 3 iphones with att with a monthly total of $217USD to 3 Motorola Triumph with Virgin Mobile for a monthly total of $75USD. I love these phones just as much as the iphone and they do everything i need them too. The only differnce for me is the 142 bucks a month is save and the internet is much faster with virgin the att. I have had 0 issue with battery life as well. Have had them for 3 months and i typically get 3-4 days out of a charge.

I just ran a bench mark test on my Bionic, which compares it to other phones

personally things I dont like about iphone
can only install apps from its app store
email client is horrible
not many browsers and email clients to choose from
browser is slow
its locked down, cannot drag and drop stuff to its card
no flash, does not play media player files without having to buy an app for it

the iphone is basically for games and for people who want everything done for them with limited choices

I'm not. I have my evo 3d its fast as hell and I love it. That being said, I would still say iOS is smoother and more refined in a ton of small ways. So if they could offer the screen size I would switch. What I'm actually hoping for is that the droid will catch up on the small details that bug me right now. I would much rather stick with my droid if I had a choice.

The app store has more than twice the available apps, so who cares?

It has Opera, Firefox and a host of other browsers but Safari outperforms them all, so again, why change it?

It plays nearly every video file unless it's likely from an insignificant site. It opens a quicktime player with html5, which is supported on any site I browse. It's 10times more fluid than piece of shit flash that drains battery life and runs like absolute shit.

The iPhone is the cleanest OS, with the most available apps, most battery life, highest resolution screen, least amount of bugs, most secure, (no open source apps put out there by anyone with NO quality control), slimmest design, etc.

As far as I'm concerned, the Android phones with oversized inferior screens and insignificant features like flash support which make battery life absolute garbage, video hdmi outs, a painted plastic hard shell, an buggy OS that can't do basic things as fluid as iOS is what makes it a toy rather than a productive smartphone.

I picked up the Bionic from Costco today. I hate getting new phones as it takes forever to learn the new tips and tricks. Besides that MFC comes in very clear which makes me happy!

the motorola website has some simple 1-2 min videos on the basics.

I had a droid, this Bionic is a bit different. Those videos are for older droid! I'll get use to it, just give me the weekend!

Yep, very fast. Can't get my contacts to sync up with my FB pics with everyone. I googled it and it seems like a problem. Should work itself out shortly.

Its not a problem..set up an account for it like you do email

go settings then accounts, then add account and chooose facebook, that will enable you to get msgs from facebook and synch your contacts and pics..also then go to the gallery in your apps section and you will be able to see the photos people are posting on facebook

BTW I woke up this morning and had 4g in my house....blazing fast

I have the ipad, the xoom, blackberry storm and the Bionic right now. Ipad and iphone same thing...one is just bigger then the other and it sucks for everything except games.

gain 5 more pounds and you'll need an iPhone........:1orglaugh

Games..LOL. That's probably the one thing those plastic toys do well with their flash capability and oversized inferior screens.

I have had both too, (not the Bionic, but the HTC EVO) and I've played with the Droids a lot. Anyone can read my individual points and test them out for themselves. :) The iOS is far superior IMO.

actually I need flash to keep watch on my horses when they are about ready to have their babies. The only way to watch them live is via flash video server, so when I am gone, I can pull them up on my phone to check in on them...cant do that with the ipad..

also on a side note, remember when AOL used to send out all those free CD's, and AOL users never seemed to have a clue...same seems to go for the iphone crowd now...99% of the emails I get about phones/tablets are from iphone users having problems, so either the phone is horrible for porn, or most iphone users are the new AOL :)

The most intuitive phone in the world, everything else is just a big plastic toy that drains your battery with a bunch of features on paper chasing after the original innovator. :)

The web browsing benchmarks are also quite embarrassing for the SII and the Bionic. Android fanboys are scrambling to post their own benchmarks with 3rd party browsers and custom ROMS. And even those don't come close to what the iPhone 4S is putting out with Safari.

The iPhone 4S is destroying every single Android phone right now in performance across all benchmarks.

You need to buy a modern system then. A majority of the internet enabled security cameras come with exclusive iOS apps. I bought one 3 years ago that did.
