it is the realm of at least semi-attractive females, they can be dumb as a post with nothing to say, and just because they are female if they keep making videos they start to get mad views.... nobody wants to watch some dude talking on youtube, but some half insane girl that looks bangable gets extreme attention

Running with the 1:171 that we've been discussing:

220,862,320 / 171 = 12,915,192 clicks

12,915,192 x .37 = $477,889 and I have no problem believing numbers like that.

Same channel I mentioned before:

Daily averages for September 1st - September 15th, 2011

975 Impressions per day
5 Clicks per day
$2.11 profit per day

The "accidental" clicks from the ads displayed on the videos are worth pennies but the clicks from the larger square ads, to the right of the vids, are worth dollars. Obviously most of the clicks are on the smaller ads and likely accidental.

I've read that the top youtuber's usually make about $100k a year. They're the one's that upload a video and get hundreds of thousands of views almost immediately. Tons of subscribers...

If you're into gaming then when some of the new and popular games come out like Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3 and Gears of War 3 just make some random gameplay videos and upload to youtube. The games industry is bigger than movies and music.

Upload some gaming videos and you guarantee views, maybe even a crap load. Have fun playing some videos games, upload to youtube. Sounds awesome to me Some people comintate on there vids aswel, seems to be more popular.

If you try to monetize a video that you don't own the rights to will they cancel your YouTube account or Adsense account, or both?

I have a channel with almost 3 million views. I've been thinking about monetizing most of the videos since Youtube is telling me I can... but I don't want to get my Adsense account cancelled.

That's the thing about youtube, there's no telling what'll go viral. You could post a vid of you picking lint outta your asscrack and it might get 30 million views, you never know.
