9/11 Conspiracy Theorists... Please Answer

Yeah yeah yeah, another "9-11" thread, but I'm curious to find WHY people keep posting them. If it was an inside job, why?

I know there is a lot of evidence everywhere that can prove both sides are correct, but in either case, one thing I never understood was if this was an inside deal, why and how could this happen?

From the conspiracy theorists view, I understand why the pentagon was hit... trying to hide some 2.3 trillion in paperwork, blah blah blah. But why the towers? What did they have in store worth $1 trillion or more to go down? Same with WTC 7.

Likewise, why did the flight in PA go down? I heard from someone this weekend while in AC that it was shot down by NORAD and she swore up and down. Obviously drunk and probably full of BS but said her brother worked for NORAD and told her. Uh huh...

Lastly, how did all these people get involved on an inside job and how is it possible that not one person leaked the "truth" yet? Its not just the government, but also news stations to local agencies.

Did someone want to invade Afghanistan? Afghanistan is a land locked country with no oil. They mention a pipeline they were planning, but the truth is because of the invasion this pipeline will never be built. Ten years later and it's still not built. And at any rate, it's irrelevant: The pipeline was just that - a pipeline - it was just a way to ship the same oil to the same eventual destination.

Someone above mentioned war profiteering? How does that work? You mean to tell me they were willing to risk getting caught killing thousands of innocent Americans and billions of dollars hoping they could profit off of us invading another country?

I also heard asbestos the other day, which was new to me. I'm pretty confident the owners of the WTC had insurance for this type of thing - in the event they declared the WTC uninhabitable, it would have been covered by insurance. Besides, the WTC was owned by a government organization. That's like saying the local school district decided to blow up a school killing hundreds of students because of asbestos.

At the end of the day, there is no logical reason for anyone in the US to want this.

Ive heard this before, that they NEEDED a reason to go and attack the middle east. I've heard its everything from controlling oil to making allies with them so the oil tycoons will give the US gov't a break on prices so they can tax the shit out of it to consumers.

I think this day and age, something like this to pull off as an inside job would be hear impossible. Think of all the people in 2001 versus 2011 that have camera phones and able to capture that. There would of been probably 10x the amount of videos.

A little while ago I heard that the only video of the first plane was 100% fake. NYC did not have anyone scheduled to be at that location investing any man hole cover and other footage of security cameras, etc., where thrown out.

Whatever, hard to believe either side but more hard to believe that a countries own gov't would turn on them to make money.

Not needed. The United States can strike out at any country. We have enough bases strategically placed so we can quickly build up and strike.

I will admit, however, if you look at Iran.... Seems they are surrounded by US forces. Is it possible that, in the name of protecting Israel, the United States intentionally caused 9/11 to happen so we could invade Afghanistan knowing that it would be easy for us to create a reason to invade Iraq (again), which would leave Iran surrounded (and thus pretty much pissing in their pants?).

I don't believe in conspiracy theories at all. But from a strategic military stand point, this makes sense. If Iran so much as blinks, we are in perfect position.
