Youre still using your nerves through the carpel tunnel :2 cents:

Bossku69, you need a simple magnetic bracelet & wrap it around your wrist... it shall help with that pins and needles and aching in the wrist :thumbsup

That is actually a symptom of pinching a nerve in your elbow.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulnar_nerve_entrapment

you need more padding on wherever it is your elbow is resting...

As for carpal tunnel... I suggest a mouse pad with the little gel cushion so your forearm takes the weight and not your wrist.

Or as I said, he should or could simply try what I did, the bracelets work very well.. Whether its the relaxation of oxygen in the blood through the tunnel, I dont know.. but I feel much better if I wear mine..

for just 50dollar, it could stop the pain, and the bracelets look great :thumbsup

use a stress ball to practice your hand. Chane regularly from mouse to trackball and vice versa

get a new chair and desk or adjust the one you have now.

No he shouldn't. They don't work.

No they don't. They don't work at all. Find me ONE LINK with some peer-reviewed research showing they work!

Practitioners claim that subjecting certain parts of the body to magnetostatic fields produced by permanent magnets has beneficial health effects. These claims are both physically and biologically implausible and no effects on health or healing have been established.

It really was worked out some time ago that it's just a scam to sell bad bracelets to people who are not very clever.

How can a magnet "relax" blood? Explain the science.

Clue: you can't there is no science. It's cheap tat sold to idiots.

It won't stop the pain, I don't think you even understand what CTS is. And yes, I am sure YOU think it actually does look great.

That's probably the worst part.

I've had both my Carpal Tunnels "done" years ago. Left and Right wrists.

The most common symptom is numbness in the fingers (not thumb) nor in the little finger. There is pain sometimes, but mainly numbness of the fingers. Surgery is the only cure for it.

As for RSI, which I used to get, I use a very basic Logitech corded mouse when I work. I've tried all the whizzbang mouses, but the little Logitech works best for me. I also keep my wrist flat on the desktop when using the mouse. It's just a matter of training your wrist to lay flat. No mousepad or anything fancy.

This way I can work 12 to 16 hours without wrist pain. :2 cents:

I've been using that for a month now. Basically, since Lion, I missed the gestures when I docked (ooer) my laptop. Now with the trackpad my wrist is good and I get the gestures!

I think we need to sue Logitech for building such a mouse that fucks up your hand!

I was a ceramic tiler, using my wrist a lot more than a just a wanker like you... the magnetic bands do work... Why would you argue against me, when I can prove it!??

All your other comments from your post were similar dribble, considering I didnt purchase some cheap tat metal wear, mine is a simple material strap that was much more safe to wear on building sites.

The magnet relaxes the nervous system.. the carpel tunnel is a series of nerves, muscles & obviously the blood... The blood isnt relaxed you frigging moron... Seriously, you make life at GFY seem like a chore.

Working 12-14 hours each day is your major problem.

Imortyl Pussycat 09-27-2011 01:11 PM

this is more of the same but also from someone plagued with issues in the right wrist and elbow:

switch to a lefty mouse.. you will be just as fast on it after 2 weeks and your right wrist will feel a million times better

get a new keyboard based on the touch, not all that other carpal tunnel crap. when i bought my last laptop i wasnt shopping by bells and whistles really. i shopped by how light a touch it takes to print the words. there really is a big difference in that with keyboards...check it out when you go shopping.

hands

My hands have so much arthritis, my GF makes fun of them. They are crookeder than a West Virginia road. With my new Mac Air, I got a blue tooth head set and am getting Dragon Speaking. Goal is to cut down as much key strokes as possible. I also plan to write a couple of books and can speak a hell of a lot faster than I can type. Also with the blue tooth, I can walk and speak as opposed to sit and type, as I think I'm more creative that way.

Because you are wrong. As I have proven with my links to research proving you wrong.

You can't Gary. Science has failed to establish ANY benefit from magnets. Any. Can you find a single case to disprove the MANY I have shown you? Or are you just going to talk out of your I-left-school-aged-15 arse?

Post one link to ANYONE, ANYWHERE on the internet who agrees with you.

Jesus, Gary. Pick a better fight to have with me. One where it isn't quite so easy for me to make it obvious you are very very very stupid.

Sigh.
