                        A lot of things get lumped up in "conspiracy theories" which is a shame. Someone says the word "bigfoot" or "nessie" and there is a programmed knee jerk reaction.

                        The one thing I do not think belongs in this category are - extraterrestrials. Or, civilizations outside of earth.

                        I think it's really foolish not to believe that there are intelligent beings elsewhere. There have been colossal coverups and plenty of dis-information about the matter. This to me, is the largest conspiracy of all time. As it has the potential to have such a massive impact on our "world view" and the way we live.

                                    One of the biggest conspiracy theories ever is that the Patriot Act would be used on Americans outside of its scope of terrorism. Right wingers slammed liberals for holding this belief. As it would turn out, the Patriot Act's main purpose shifted to targeting suspected criminals in non terror cases.
