    Obama speech tonight...

Its never good to talk politics or religion anywhere - but thats everywhere else :P

Obamas speech was good today - he definately is going to piss off some rich corporations by tightening up the "tax loop holes" as he exclaims. He sounds like Robin Hood stealing from the rich and giving to the poor lol. Either way, was a good speech in my opinion....

Anything new? To me it sounded like more of what's he's been doing the last two and a half years. I heard him boldly propose more FAIL. Did I miss something?

I watched his speech tonight and thought it was excellent. First he did a great job laying out his plan, but he also did another great job winning the hearts and minds of some republicans to his side. If watch closely, the republicans are the ones not standing and clapping at everything he said. But near the end, the whole room was applauding the man.

Watching the Tan Man Bohner squirm was fun. He was clearly pissed off, and looked like a complete fucking asshole not even giving passing applause while Joe Biden (and the rest of the room) stood up and clapped "Education for kids! Jobs for our War Vets! Rebuilding the infrastructure" were all met by cheers by EVERYONE in the room except for fuckface Bohner. What a tool.

Was a good job laying out his plan despite it being a kick in some peoples faces - he obviously is making his agenda strong and so he should as his term is slowly approaching end. Haha I did notice Bohner - agreed on that!

I watched it with my kids to show them the insidious nature of politics and liars.
Even my kids understood the class warfare lies he trotted out

And what would you propose? More tax cuts for rich people, cut welfare completely and give more money to Israel?

Will your poor kids falsely believe they are really rich too?

All of his speeches are good, they were since day one. Unfortunately rhetoric, talk, playing the blame game and astronomical spending don't equate to the solution.

Yeah, we need to vote another genius into the White House again instead.

Sounded like his 2009 speech all over again, another failed proposal to spend hundreds of billions of dollars to put people to work.

#1 on my list would be to cut down on the hundreds of hours of government paperwork required for a small businesses (or any businesses) to operate legally. I spend maybe 10% of my time on BS government paperwork. Cutting that in half for all businesses would be an instant jump in gdp.

We have a three person operation. We're required to file federal income tax four times per year. Unemployment tax four times per year. Business census yearly. Local business taxes for where our offices are and seperately for the city where kyte severs are. Business personal property tax, listing the values of our desks, chairs, and monitors. Sales tax four times per year. Franchise tax each year. Now more forms to prove we have acceptable health insurance. Need I go on?

We could increase our work force by a third if we could just file taxes twice per year instead of twenty times. All the time spend on hundreds of pages of forms could be spent training and supervising a new employee. That creates jobs.

This is a president who campaigned on "going after corporations".
I couldn't friggin believe it when I heard him actually say that on his radio commercial. BetterCGI is a corporation. Gfy is run by a corporation. Your hosting company is a corporation, as are most of your local businesses that could be providing jobs if this president wasn't campaigning on the promise of "going after" them. My better idea? Get off our backs rather than "going after" businesses that are trying to grow and hire people.

I actually had to let an employee go the other day because the darn government won't get the paperwork done. You have to file n( sooner than 30 days ahead, but it takes them 60 days to do the paperwork. So I have to fire him for at least 30 days while we wait for the government. Fix that overregulation and that's a job right here in this office right now.
