                                          ESPN has reported there is a decent chance Payton Manning's injury is career ending. Anyone know if the injury is related to a specific play? Also he just signed a 90 million contract, how much will he receive if he never plays again?

                                              He get's his signing bonus or whatever was guaranteed. NFL contracts aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

                                                      Yep, that's why they want HUGE signing bonuses. No NFL contracts are guaranteed.

                                                      Factor in the average length of an NFL career is probably 3-4 years, and now you see why they want their money up front.
