if you want to link between your own sites, yes, you need different ip's, but also different nameservers, different domain registers, etc to hide any footprints.Comment

Contact me if you need this sort of setup regardless of the varying opinions about it. No one knows for sure but one thing I do know is that having lots of ips cant hurt it can only help.
Uniqueness is the key and well if its going to help then best do it right and get alot of ips from a host who does not specifically host SEO stuff. Why? Because dont you think google googles itself for seo hosts and flags them all? Common sense to not run around waving a flag. Just my .02c
That is not intended to diss anyone specific im just talking from a common sense point of view.
