They will allow porn models, but not porn shooters/recruiters.
Site has been a complete waste for me... A lot of "I'd love to work with you" and just the same amount of "Well my schedule sucks, I don't have a car, I charge 100000000 dollars an hour for nudes and won't show pink" blah blah.

The irony is that models can post photos taken by pro adult shooters, but they won't allow the same shooters to have obvious accounts (links to their adult sites, or any connection to adult, etc).
Meanwhile, MM is filled with every sleazy fake photographer and rip-off agent that you can imagine, many whom have been trolling there openly for years.
So basically, the guys that run TFP/Test Shoot scams, get free run of the place even though the models rarely (if ever) get any paying gigs from them, and the people who can offer paying adult gigs are shooed away. Go figure...and don't even get me started on how many stories I hear from models about MM photographers that hit on the girls or try to trade pix for sex instead of time.
I keep a non-descript MM account solely in case that is the only way for me to contact a model after being referred to her portfolio.
My active MM account is over 2 years old...

because there is an army of nazi moderators and snitches on MM, they have a rule that they don't apply equally that you can't 'network for the adult industry' - meanwhile Ken Marcus who is a famous BDSM photographer has as many posts on MM's forum as Juicy has here. And I see a ton of casting calls from guys with adult paysites or who shoot for adult paysites including X-Art, Twistys, DigitalDesire, and many others.I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. definitely not MM - OMP does have an 'Adult' section but OMP sucks.
everybody's still on MM, just under the radar, it's not the perfect solution because I can't even use my own photos since the mods are pretty good at recognizing the style/locations.
i wonder what MM is worth - the number of paid accounts there is pretty low, i did a sample count once and I think it was only about 5-10% of all MM accounts are paying members.I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!Comment

My initial acct was deleted @ MM because I had Twistys.com watermarks on some of the pictures. And when you go to the site, there is hardcore there. Now I just put photo credit on them and don't have any problems.
Mods for that place are just like mods everywhere else, you give somebody banning power and you'll always have people that abuse their power. For some people, they get high on feeling more important than the sheep. Stroke their ego a bit and you'll be fine. Or tell them to fuck off and go somewhere else. Seems pretty straight forward to me

Anyway, I was going to make a post about MM being sold a few years ago, when I stumbled across this, which might provide some clue as to the current worth of MM:

AccountingInteresting...May 13, 2008, Tyler and IB entered into an agreement to sell the assets of Model Mayhem to Internet Brands. The agreement called for the sale of Modelmayhem.com and all related assets such as rights, domains, subdomains, and trademarks.
It?s unclear to me if there was a lump sum payment at the time of sale. I have to assume there was a sizable upfront payment. This complaint specifically addresses deferred payments as a bonus.
The deferred agreement called for a payment of $800,000 if the average monthly pageviews for 2009 are at least 350 million. If the average of 350 million was not achieved but a minimum of 225 million pageview was achieved, a fraction of the $800,000 would be paid based on a type of prorated calculation.
Additionally, 10% of all net website membership dues in excess of $250,000 would also be paid. In other words, Internet Brands gets the first quarter million. After that, it?s split 90/10 with 10% going to Tyler and Donald.
It is claimed that both parties agreed to use Google Analytics pageviews as the tracking reports to determine payment.
2009 pageview payment was due on February 15, 2010 and IB did not pay even after repeatedly promising to pay.
On November 10, 2009, Internet Brands provided a report showing Model Mayhem had averaged about 290 million pageviews.
After Donald Waitt and Tyler Waitt retained counsel, IB started to dispute the pageview numbers provided by Google Analytics.
On March 19, 2010, Internet Brands claimed they were not informed of a criminal investigation involving Model Mayhem when it was sold on May 13, 2008. If anyone has verifiable information about this criminal case they want to share, send me the information using the contact form.
Plaintiffs are claiming treble actual damage plus attorneys fees based on California Penal Code 496(c).
On March 19, 2010, Internet Brands claimed in writing that 65% of the website pageviews from 2009 as reported by Google Analytics were invalid. Internet Brands also claimed tens of millions of pageviews per month were not real pageviews.
On March 22, 2010, Internet Brands claimed in writing that 75% of the website pageviews from 2009 as reported by Google Analytics were not real pageviews.
Internet Brands further claimed their own research was only able to identify 246 million pageviews per month.
But plaintiffs claim Internet Brands? representatives provided a sworn declaration on March 29, 2010 that Model Mayhem?s monthly average pageview were 290 million.
Plaintiffs further claim Internet Brands had no intention of making the deferred payments at the time of sale.
