Market Samurai for Adult

I often talk about Market Samurai on the forum and some people have been downloading it to try it out then contacting me saying it's not working for them for adult.

Well, it does work for adult but if you are using the standard "Golden Rules" filters in the Keyword Research module then you are going to be led to making false assumptions, primarily because Adwords statistics don't apply to Adult.

So with this in mind and for those of you who are starting out with Market Samurai I have put together a simple tutorial on tweaking the default "Golden Rules" for adult.

You've been on this MS kick lately. The keyword research tools are spectacular and the tutorial videos make it dead simple for a novice to get their feet wet. BUT the overall program is at best a c+.

As a tool for creating good habits I think it is awesome. Using it to teach the basics of keyword research has shown spectacular results.

The three modules of Market Samurai which are indispensable are the Keyword Research module, the SEO Competition module and the Rank Tracker module.

Now while it is true that more advanced webmasters will use other tools, many still use Market Samurai on a regular basis.

I am finding a whole lot of adult webmasters don't even target any keywords properly, they're missing out. When they discover how much traffic they can draw to their site by having quality original content and targeting the correct base keywords and long tail keywords they are able to develop more advanced strategies.

I've been using Market Samurai to teach people these basics, they are doing a whole lot better than they were before they used it, some people are making their first real consistent sales.

If Market Samurai teaches the concepts of keyword research, the reasons why on page SEO best practice is important, the benefits of having original quality content then half the battle is won.

There is NO POINT having linking strategies if your on page strategies are crap. You can send thousands of visitors to crap content, or even thousands of the wrong visitors to crap content and make no sales.

Keyword research and ranking tracking in MS are well worth its price in my opinion. Of course, like everything, you need to know what you are doing when you use it....but it has lots of value.

Btw... for rank tracking i'm using Sescout.com ... pretty good stuff

These tutorials take time to put together and are not my primary business, I do them when I get time. It's also hard to justify putting too much effort in when people will hop in your thread and sprout their usual useless post count raising bullshit.

Good overall reply. But let's be honest, if you don't have a good backlink strategy to start, the vast majority of quality traffic will never see the quality pages you've built.

I've been working on a back links tutorial. However I've held off it because I wanted to work on the basics first. Some of the most common questions I see relate to keywords and keyword research, so I tackled that with an explanation of how to set Market Samurai up for adult, let's face it the default Golden Rules will lead adult webmasters astray.

The next tutorial that will go up on my blog is a content tutorial, which includes a strategy for gaining natural back links. However I have to question whether people actually want decent tutorials given some of the feedback in this thread.

IMO and experience, you're doing it backwards if you're taking about walking a newbie through the process. Nothing wrong with spending time teaching the basics of quality pages, but you'll have much greater success, in the beginning, if they can see results as quickly as possible.

You're right. There is a strategy I use for blogs which requires absolutely no expenditure and builds quality back links quickly without resorting to blackhat techniques. I've been documenting it for a while so it shouldn't be too hard to turn into a tutorial.
