I started shooting content for my first amateur site in late 1999, inspired by a local Bay Area amateur model whose web site was called "The Shy Exhibitionist", and another more professionally done Asian niche solo site, "Kiko Wu".
It really helped that I was able to attend some of the fan parties thrown by Shy Kris (Shy-X), as well as have some good conversations with the people from both websites which helped get me pointed in the right direction in the beginning.
It was so much fun discovering others whom were trying to do similar things to what I was doing. I remember networking with web based people and companies like Johnny Pearl, the Carol Cox network, and several Bay Area local amateur sites. When I attended my first adult convention in Las Vegas in 2001, I really started feeling a part of a larger industry.
Those were really exciting times, since everything was totally brand new...
Fast forward over a decade later, and while some things are now somewhat routine, there rarely is a dull moment, and I always keep finding new creative challenges to keep my life and work both fun and interesting.
