Like they have said before me, shoot it yourself. As I look through the girls for the month of August I've shot:
cashier from Jack in the box
ice cream and cashier girl from foster freeze
cashier from am/pm
carnie from our county fair
drunk girl from a bar called down town brew
girl who loads shelves at Wal-Mart
pizza delivery girl from Chubby Chandlers
bartender from the graduate
and about a half dozen girls who are friends with girls we have shot previously.
I'm sure many of you shoot much more content than I do because you own bigger companies but you won't find my girls on your sites.

Jim_Gunn 08-26-2011 12:25 AM

Producers don't bother producing much realistic looking amateur style content because it generally doesn't pay much. If it paid more I would be more inclined to bother getting a few young looking teen girls, put them in a house and let them shoot each other with a pocket still and video cam getting naked and playing around. I did something like this on a dorm room set for one client and it came out pretty good, especially considering how picky the guy is. But he was willing to meet my quote.

Pretty much figured out how to make that kind of content look authentic on the second try. First thing to do is dump the model's purse all over the bed & floor and make a mess of the room where we are shooting and put a bunch of posters on the wall to make it look authentic. Then let the talent shoot themselves.

As it is, the smallish amount of business I have done on the amateur level was mostly licensing non-exclusive softcore Ex-GF photos shot with a point and shoot camera and no lighting. And the only reason that was even worth it was because the content cost me almost nothing to shoot and gave me a reason to kick out of town models a few extra bucks for traveling and have a way to get my money back.

To shoot g/g or b/g amateur hardcore I'd still need a real budget almost like a high end scene though, otherwise it wouldn't be worth my own time to bother.

Because once it moves into the bought and sold arena it becomes professional. It's possible to buy a version of it, problem is always the price.

Why shoot someone worth shooting for the pennies being offered, when there's $$ to be earned?

would be nice shooting videos that looks like real amateur, i think it's not so hard!

You need to find real first timers.

We used to see 10 a week on average.

We shot a fast set of them, 30-50 pics and sold it for $400 each.

We still own the set.

These guys asking for amateur want to pay $150 for a set and video exclusive. Getting $400 for it makes these guys run. It always comes down to price.

OP what's your budget?

Also if you rely on agents to find models, forget about it.

any web user with half a brain can tell the difference between real and fake amateur pics.

Rubbish.

I set up my lights, used a good camera. make up and the rest to earn $3,000 a set. Not to screw around shooting rubbish for a few hundred bucks.

On castings we used flash on camera, we could go as low quality as desired. The idea amateur = bad is rubbish as well.

It's about the model not the shooter.

And it's always about the $$$$$$ :thumbsup

Personally I've found most of the sites who claim to do fantastically well, convert like it's 1999 and make a fortune. Don't seem so flush when talking to shooters. Especially amateur style sites.

Read what Jim said, it's spot on.

In reality producing real amateur content is easy. The reason most don't bother is as Jim points out, it's not worth our time to bother with it.

The excuses that "professionals can't shoot amateur is clap trap. I could of got couples to turn up at a casting, give the guy a camera and tell him to go shoot his GF. After showing them an example of what was required.

Approx cost.
$200 max for solo, $400 GG $500 BG for the model.

Treble the costs to cover my expense and add a profit. (I have to find new models, set up shoots, interview those who attend a casting to see whose suitable, throw out what's crap, buy equipment, possibility of equipment getting broken, transport, plus other expenses and my time.) Also while doing this for you, I could be shooting something else more profitable.

So $600 solo girl
$1200 GG
$1500 BG.

Order a lot and take anything that turns up and I can sharpen my pencil on the prices.

Do you think it's too much money?

Go tell your best affiliates they want too much money to send you sign ups. :1orglaugh

My Pimp 08-28-2011 02:09 AM

There is a lot. You should look into the sell and buy category. Many women made photos of themselves. This is real amateur content.

Randomonium 08-28-2011 02:16 AM

b/c anybody who is really acquiring/shooting it, doesn't want to sell it to you.
They'd rather have their site/program.

ArtinSever 04-25-2012 02:59 AM
