Stock gurus.. would this work?
From what I see watching LII there goes some prints at well below the ask if the bid is real and a big order
So say the stock is at .049/.051 with an average block of what 5k Alright so then you'll see a print here and there for 50k, even 100k at maybe .041 Why couldn't it work to make decent size orders below the bid all of the time and turn around and put them back on the ask a little lower than the current low ask? I can't daytrade yet but it seems like you could make a fortune doing that so long as you don't try to go overboard because of being in an illiquid stock or being too big of an order |

You've just discovered the loophole that millions of professional daytraders have overlooked. Good luck with that.
Also if you wan't to invest do it with stock options. I know quite a few people that turn a $2,000/day or more profit on AAPL stock options.

Those are block trades going through the middle markets dept of a broker dealer. They are (typically) an institution exiting a position where there is no volume. The the middle markets will find a buyer (typically another existing holder by phone) for the whole block at a discount. After the trade is done they have to report it which is why you see it.
In other words, if you put up a bid nobody would ever hit it unless you were to make some relationships in the name that would call you when a block comes up. Also the idea is to cross the block at a discount to someone who won't immediately sell it to maintain price stability. If you got known for flipping, you would stop getting phone calls for block trades. |

Everybody is interested in public companies these days. How do they make a profitable public company… They could try to hide less things. More openness and transparency would certainly attract more investors. You have to tell them that after they buy stocks, the stock price will go up.
