For me, Dugmor is a random GFY persona. One that fishhooks women and comes on their faces, I'll give you that, but I do not know much more about him. I'm sure he is a nice guy, a smart one as well, but I do not know him.

Now, what reason do I have to trust someone I know nothing about over my doctor, of whom I at least know he has gone through med school?
Ofcourse, there are many smart pornographers, and many that know the shit they're talking about, but if I know nothing about people, I will give them as much trust as I will give to a random person on the street - very little.

So, my response was not "he's a pornographer so he can't know anything", but "I have no reason to assume he has any specific knowledge concerning the subject exceeding that of any other random person". If he had come up with some numbers or sources, I would have considered it relevant, but this way, it was just a random person saying something.


And now, as a sidenote: what he said doesn't check out with the numbers found on any medical/std-related sites. According to those sites (for example, http://aids.org/FactSheets/102-antib...ml#anchor67673 ), the accuracy of AIDS tests (antibody tests, to be precise) is 0,5%. False negatives also seem much less common than false positives.

By the way, not everyone hangs out solely with porn people in their spare time. When I get out from behind my keyboard in my appartment, I usually go visit friends or my girlfriend. Might seem odd to you, but I assure you, the majority of people do have friends that are not business-related.

Ofcourse they aren't 100% reliable. Nothing is. However, they are very accurate - albeit not 100% - and after that comes what one can consider an acceptable risk.

I actually had this for a year...but had it taken out. I could not lose any of the weight I gained with my first daughter...and I was never heavy before that..so I thought it was because of the norplant that I could not lose weight. I had it taken out...left my husband and lost 40 of the 60lbs I gained within a few months. Not sure if it was because I left my husband or had the norplant taken out. *shrugs*

I know with my second daughter I only gained 16 lbs and I lost 10 before even leaving the hospital.
