Oh well. I was never close to the guy, and I don't really feel any loss at his passing. I never knew him. That might be a heartless statement, but its the truth. I haven't talked to the dude in about 40 years, but his Mother is my Aunt - and I love her to death.
Here's the guilt trip portion of this program: I set up a website so he could rant and rave about his personal problems, and I posted the url here. At his request. Initially, I thought he wanted an audience for his lunacy. I was wrong, he wanted an audience to witness his death.
Conveniently enough, some asshole from GFY facillitated his suicide. I post a link to my cousin's ramblings and, a few hours later - I find my databases have been deleted, my emails for that site no longer work, and my cousin is getting harrassed by the Toronto Sun and Fox Fucking News! WTF?
Meanwhile, I'm spending an entire day bitching to AmeriNoc because my sites have been hacked (actually, four sites were wiped out. I guess whatever asshole got access to that first site found out that I had other sites sharing a single database, and just wiped them out of the kindness of his heart...) Good job! Nice distraction.
At the time, I did not know that my cousin went and fucking killed himself. I was just wondering why I'm not getting any hits to my sponsors. I'm sad and pathetic. I did not realize that posting a url on GFY would not only cost me a few sites - it would cost my unstable cousin his life. Thanks for fucking with him!
I quit. I got a phone call from my aunt around eleven o'clock tonight. Her son killed himself, and it is now my fault. His death is my burden because I humoured a lunatic and set up a forum so he could rant and rave.
