    Anti Piracy Streaming Methods---please spam away with suggestions

    Am gettting ready to do my 2nd concept site and know a few people also planning new sites.

    I have heard here and there about streaming techniques and other methods to reduce piracy.

    Spam away with ideas, products and services.

          skip the paysite and just put the scenes up on your own tube. cut out the middleman.

                                  If they can't get the source file they can always just cap their screen.

                                  Most surfers have a hard time stealing RTMP streams. NastyDollars uses RTMP last time I checked.

                                          Absolutely. The guys rip and upload tons of content already have the plugins and other tools installed and at their fingertips too. You can make it hard for a guy to save ONE video he likes, but the guys who create the real problem don't give a crap about your streaming. They just click the "capture rtmp" button.

                                          Another approach, effective against the rippers who really cause a problem, is to not allow them to get hundreds of videos overnight. Three videos is whacking off. Three HUNDRED videos is wholesale theft. That's the approach Throttlebox takes.

                                                  RTMP has the advantage that they'd have to sit through the entire movie to rip it and they can't just download it, but as mentioned here if you can view it you can rip it.

                                                      You can always add another watermark to your streaming video with user's IP/login/date etc info, that will scare the fuck out of most "casual" rippers. And if posted, it'll help you to one the one who's ripping your stuff and block him from joining your member area (by IP, name, CC info whatever).
