PimpRoll does not mail members and has not in over 7 years, not current members, and not past members.

Our rev share gives credit for everything we charge for, x sales and cams included, and we do not do upsells.

we are not in the business of ripping customers off, we charge less than almost everyone, our cross sale is low cost and we leave the customers alone.

If you want to get $50 for a sale that will never make it back, I can suggest some programs that are notorious for banging cards that would be happy to overpay for their joins. However any customer you send them, will never spend money online again, or liek the masses will go out and buy a pre paid card that does not support recurring billing

when more and more people use $10 or $25 gift cards, you can thank those with the 2 hidden x-sales, impossible to cancel memberships or suddenly re-appearing billings...

tell me what sites you are sending to, maybe they are old sites that don't convert like they used to, maybe we have better sites with the same niche that do better. Some niches do better than others, that is a fact with any program.

Either way, what would we gain from stealing from our webmasters? We'd lose more business and sales overall if we did shit like that.

I'm sitting in the same office I have sat in for 10 years, running the same program I have run for 10 years, the 2011 progressive affiliate program of the year, and the 2010 affiliate program of the year. We've paid over $50 million to webmasters in that time frame and are as profitable as we have ever been, I've watched the majority of our competitors bow out of the game entirely, I don't think I need you to tell me what idiocy is.

I'd say this happens to about 10% of my pimproll sales. Are you sure it's not just your traffic?

Not mailing your members or your ex-members and justifying it by saying you're "leaving them alone" is actually doing them a DISservice. Anyone who wants to be "left alone" can do so by opting out. Many, many members and ex-members appreciate being informed of new sites, changes, updates, etc. Many today join, cancel, then re-join a couple months later. Ignoring this basic area of marketing is inexcuseable and makes me think you don't WANT your members/ex-members to hear from you, maybe to alert them they should cancel. LOL

You are correct. They are all old sites. I see I took care of most of the blog links but several years back I added you guys to some tubes very low in the rotation and that is where most of these remaining clicks are coming from. So it's not quite as bad as I had initially thought. The site I am promoting on that tube is horrible within that niche content wise so that could have a lot to do with it.

Which sites do you recommend within the handjob niche?

Pimproll is where I'm sending my traffic that isn't converting other places or the program is dead, etc.

Maybe they can't as terms of their settlement with the ftc due to webmasters spamming their program 7 years ago.

wankmywood.com has been converting well for webmasters lately for the most part... If you haven't had any luck with that one I would give the hand job section of watchporn a shot.. the payout is lower (15$pps) but the conversion ratio is a hell of a lot better...

I will put some content and links up then. I haven't promoted you guys actively in years and have talked some crap but I see maybe I haven't given you a fair shot recently. There's nothing I'd like more than to see you guys convert my traffic again and send me checks. You have a ton of sites in different niches and it could work out well for both of us.

It's all good man, frustration is all a part of the game. We've all been there when we see numbers that don't sound right.. all we can do is try switching things up and see if things go better the next time around. In fairness to Pimp Roll, just had a sale come in paid at full pps $25.00. I'll keep an eye on the account.

I thought if we do this you get in trouble with Visa since you are discriminating against one version of Visa card over another, I know I read something from my merchant bank about not accepting one form of visa card or another, and this would fall under that.

I have the same gateway as PR so if I ever did a PPS program I would have the same gift card policy, I too have seen a huge number in unbillable cards for rebiils and upgrades and I'm guessing it's mostly cause they are using $25 cards to join for $24.84 or whatever.

Can't expect PPS companies to payout on something that's impossible to rebiil. They could just do what other major PPS programs do, push all pre-paid card joins to secondary billers and not payout at all on them as most PPS programs hide joins to 2nd & 3rd slot billers in their cascades from affiliates.

This is called the "GFY Effect" , after you call out a sponsor on gfy for poor conversions, sales start to come in. Keep in mind though, you only get one call out per year.

Even if this is the case you can control it on your own back end.

Here is the prime example for doing it, lets say you offer free trials. you can match from your database the string of numbers and if matches you reload the users cart and say something along the lines of "We're sorry this free trial offer has expired" then you have a new page with the full member pricing.

just a quick example, you can get creative with what you control.

Sorry to post slightly off topic, but I was just curious how may of you guys use their domain parking. Do you get good results with it? I just put a few names up there and was just curious. If anyone is willing to share their experiences, it would be greatly appreciated.

I got about 20 domains parked and i have made more money with pimproll just with those than the OP with his gift cards...PR fo FTW!

Thanks for the input Tony, I just bulk imported around 83 domains to PR to be parked and was just curious. Whatever happens with them while they are in limbo, I guess it's better than having the default registrars landing page on them until I can give them some attention.

I've been with pimproll since 2004 and never received any warning about changes to the ToS. One week I checked my sales and like 60% were 0.00 and never converted.

I'm torn on the issue really. To side with Pimproll, if they're losing money on likely 95%+ of pre-paid cards, you have to make the change otherwise you'll be out of business. And instead of being a shitty company and just skimming, they at least give us the chance to make money if they're legit sales (and I have actually had some rebills from them).

What upset me is how I didn't receive any notice until I bitched and posted and bitched some more and finally got a solid answer after a few 'We're looking into it' replies. To be fair, this was early in the process and the person I was bitching to probably didn't know why my sales turned to trash one specific week (which was part of a thread on pornosells). Once he found out the reason, he gave me the details.

Still annoyed it was slipped in, and that won't change, but right now PR still converts pretty well even with the pre-paid sales, and they're doing the smart thing by making sure they're going to be in business another 10+ years.

Another thing that does bother me is it's still misleading to new people. You go to their site, under 'programs' and there is not one mention of pre-paid sales converting to revshare. It's all 'payout per signup' .. not qualified signup, just signup. So most webmasters would be under the impression they are supposed to send sales through the link, get someone to pull out their credit card and sign up. Boom, $25-$50 commission.

It's only when you go to their terms of service page will you find out the info, and it's not even formatted properly. They put the asterisk by the PPS amounts, but the footnote directly below the table refers to the 10+ sale bonus. They then add a random footnote lower down the page talking about the pre-paid card, after discussing the webmaster program and cross sale details.

It's very misleading and could lead to a lot of frustration on the part of webmasters, regardless of how smart the move is in order to stay in business.

Again, all that said, PR sites still convert better than other sites and still highly recommended.
