United States culture is taking a big fucking hit.
God damn pathetic kids.. EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE FAMOUS these days.
Now every cute girl I meet "wants to be a singer", and is a slave to consumer trends.
I know it's not like this in the rest of the world thank god, but the US is turning into something awful. I cannot stand even a single commercial these days without my blood turning hot.
The real rap is made by black people. The best rappers are dead, those who are alive live in their fancy houses and sings for world peace or something.
I remember the 95 and after, when MTV went completely black - and when I turned the TV on, there were only black music, black singers and performers. Now - these same black guys are rich people who are producers themselves and perform so only they won't be forgotten - I think.
Btw - there's no music on the MTv anymore - not the way it used to be. I watch Voice TV.
Isn't it about time that rap died? bloody awful crap with no merit whatsoever.

Wu-Tang more or less produces the same kind of music they did in the 90s. Rap gods/legends... just listen to some of the songs I posted, some of them are pretty recent
My 24 year old cousin (white) came over the other week looking for a loan of a couple thousand dollars to produce a rap video. This kid grew up in a white neighborhood, with white kids, and never saw a city street once in his life, not even a good city street. When he came over he was talking and acting like he was "hard" and from the street. I didn't even recognize him, and he's family. I laughed at him and told him to take his fake ass out of my house. That's what I see when I look at Mac Miller, my fake little punk ass cousin.

I always chuckle when I see suburban white kids who live in McMansions post things on Facebook like "hook me up with dat fine azz, nigga!"
I'd love to drop one of them off on the West Side of Baltimore City and watch the evening news to see how long they survived.
I don't even consider the stuff up above rapping ... just don't know what it should be called. Rhyming?
I think it's funny that the 16 year olds are rapping about adderall and weed these days.
I still think it's catchy and catch myself bobbing my head or knocking when I hear Mac Miller's Knock Knock.
They are temporarily famous right now but in 20-50 years they won't be remembered as other great artist, not just rap even on other music genres.
Look at this Beiber, Lady Gaga shits right now. They can't even write their own song.
Someone just turned me on to Girl Talk. I was surprised it was a dorky white guy who made all the music while studying engineering or something to that effect.

Sure thing, I agree. But check this out:
And then say that all new rappers are fancy and rich.
I don't think anyone on this forum is an avid hip hop listener. So it doesn't surprise me that no one has any kind words for it. Like if you were a country music fan talking to anyone within 20 miles of a city.
Does anyone understand when something is the biggest trend that it gets watered down and the mainstream most popular version of it is the biggest garbage?
There are amazing hip hop artists out there putting out new albums/mixtapes every week/month that you will never hear about because you only sample complete garbage from the radio that plant key words like "life", "lights", "baby", "love", etc into the song/chorus, it's all so obvious and pathetic when you listen.
And I'm not talking about Immortal Technique (who is so 5+ years ago c'mon).
Where is the musical talent though? I see a lot of body movement but that's about it. The vocals are simply spoken words. Perhaps, the repetitive beat to the song...which is performed by a drum machine as opposed to a real drummer?
Hmm, I don't know...but sorry, I really don't get it.
Not a bad looking video though - from the production aspect of it.
Kreayshawn can get the wiener... just because she's a cute stoner chick with style. Her raps suck.
