      Why would you need 'offshore' hosting? It's just a myth. Get a hosting provider who wouldn't take down your site before talking to you.

      When it comes to Internet law, it's same everywhere - especially if it's warez related site. If it's a small site no one will bother, no matter where you're hosting it. But when it grows, you'll have to cooperate.

          offshore is a relevant term. you could mean offshore from the USA or offshore from Australia. Where exactly do you want your hosting to be ?

                      Countries with good DC's are. USA, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Russia, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany, Czech Republic, etc.

                      Even though I'd only suggest: USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Luxembourg. Hosting in countries like Russia is being used by spammers and fraudsters more than by Webmasters.
