I also don't understand why they would have to license or make any kind of deal with Hasbro who owns the rights to the Battleship game. Just because it has a battleship in the movie? And when the original poster says an "Alien" movie, is this supposed to have something to do with the "Alien" series starring Sigourney Weaver? they started the boardgame to movie thing a while back with CLUE, which was actually pretty damn funny. But of course that was a complete parody of the game and you can't lose with Tim Curry et al.
but i didn't realize Battleship was related to the board game...how lame can you get.
