        they started the boardgame to movie thing a while back with CLUE, which was actually pretty damn funny. But of course that was a complete parody of the game and you can't lose with Tim Curry et al.

        but i didn't realize Battleship was related to the board game...how lame can you get.

        whats next, Scrabble;)
