What's next? Connect Four -- The movie?

The only thing in common with the boardgame is that there are Battleships in it. I'll see it because those special effects look sick.

I also don't understand why they would have to license or make any kind of deal with Hasbro who owns the rights to the Battleship game. Just because it has a battleship in the movie? And when the original poster says an "Alien" movie, is this supposed to have something to do with the "Alien" series starring Sigourney Weaver? I watched the trailer but any supposed connection was not immediately obvious.

I think the OP meant another alien-genre movie not another sequel/prequel to the ALIEN movie franchise

looked decent but i will wit for PPV

Thanks Mike, no I did not mean it in that way. It just seems to me that there are alot of movies lately dealing with extraterrestrials and them usually fucking shit up.

Actually guys when I originally clicked on it, I thought it had something to do with the battleship board game too, lol.

It says right on the trailer site "Based on Hasbro's classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex...". The baffling thing isn't that anyone thought that this movie had something to do with the classic Hasbro board game. The baffling this is that it actually does have something to do with the game! For what reason would they need to license "Battleship" to make an aliens vs US navy movie with a love story sub-plot? Just because they titled it "Battleship"?
