I don't know shit about that type of music, but I thought he was a one hit wonder. Is he really that popular that he can afford that?Comment

Likely no. He has some money for sure, but not that kind of money. I would assume this is all on credit. I won't be shocked to see him needing to sell it in a few years.Comment

Yeah. If you are Jay-Z and have been a big star for 10 years, sold millions of records, own a record label that is successful and a clothing line that is huge success you could afford a jet like this. I actually saw an article this morning where they talked to a financial expert about this jet and he said only someone with hundreds of millions or more should be buying something like this.Comment

Born in Chicago under the name DeAndre Cortez Way, now known as rapper and record producer Soulja Boy Tell Em, has a net worth of $23 million.

Damn, that kid is going to learn the hard way. $55 million could set him up for life, but I guarantee within a few years he will be bankrupt and playing state fairs and boat shows. I'm not one to talk since I also pissed away a lot of money in my youth (obviously nowhere near that amount), but it's amazing how fucking stupid we are when we're young. Even the really big stars fly private but use those jet leasing companies. Just the maintenance on that fucker is going to be insane...Yeah. I agree. In a few years he will be forgotten and instead of living a very nice life on what he has earned now he will be stuck broke playing wherever he can for whatever he can. Someone needs to talk some sense into him. Even if he sold the jet today he likely wouldn't get back what he put into it.Damn, that kid is going to learn the hard way. $55 million could set him up for life, but I guarantee within a few years he will be bankrupt and playing state fairs and boat shows. I lol'd - I'd actually read a blog like that! Think you've got something viral with that idea...

I don't know much about rap either but that dude has like 3 million followers on Twitter
Still, I didn't think he had that kind of scratch... what the hell does it cost to fuel a round trip in one of those??!Comment

Forbes estimated his income at $6 million. In all likelihood, it will be close to zero within a couple of years. What can we learn from this if we're having a liitle success right now?For historical display only. This information is not current:

They dont make the money on hiphop just the initial, its the money they get from having friends flip yayo that they finance.

I thought perhaps just a publicity stunt and not an actual purchase, but then I thought, black people don't like to self-promote and are pretty humble

Perhaps he's got a brain in his head and will be using it, plus renting it out for a fee that keeps it paying off itself.(ICQ - 664784872)Comment
