Damn, that's a rough cut, man. My worst pain-- open heart surgery, 6 years ago. That sucked.

I had an abscessed / infected tooth a while ago. That was some pretty bad pain. Getting the tooth pulled was a lot less painful than the infection.

Smashed pelvis, femur and road rash, 2weeks of traction. Pulled myself out of it one night to take a shit in the commode like a man (bedpans are very humbling). went home AMA and realized I did need the meds I was receiving ;) Even at half dose prescribed....Watching my best friend come into the room late one evening confessing he fucked my fiance and then that morning her crawling into the bed as I am tied to the traction and could do nothing about it, fucking hurt!

When you sneeze it, all that juice goes thru your sinus cavity and burns like a Muther Fucker. Big guy like me screaming, that scared half the neighborhood, the other half was laughing......

Gout. Nothing compares. I got it when I was 28, labor day weekend, drinking and eating too much bbq, and the irony is I work out daily and I am very healthy in general.

and once you get it, it never seems to go away. I'd say I was borderline alcoholic I stopped drinking altogether for awhile from it, and now only bud lights :(

I love beer , but not enough to get the gout again.

Dental pain was the most horrible thing to happen to me... it started at night and I didn't get any sleep til the root canal, not much compared to some stories here but at the time it was fucking miserable!!

Awesome stories.

Worst pain I ever endured was when I went diving and was stung by a pretty big jellyfish. Wrapped around my right forearm. Was able to get it off and swim back to shore as quickly as I could.

I was still in the water when I was looking at my arm and I actually saw the skin moving, the pain was alright at that time.

Got out the water, told the diving school and some surfers what had happened, pain was pretty bad at this time.

Pissed on my arm, didn't help for SHIT. Some guy went to cut open a cactus for fresh aloe vera, didn't help.

All the while my arm keeps swelling up, open sores, it looked awful. They said they had seen jellyfish stings but nothing like this and I should go to the hospital.

Along the way the pain just gets worse and worse, as if I keep my hand in a campfire and just hold it in. I start screaming like a girl.

Get to the hospital, apparently I have second degree burns on my arm, it's swollen like shit. My vains turn black cause of the "venom" in the bloodstream. They gave me some way overpriced cream, wrapped me up and send me home. My vains stayed black for a few days (looked awesome), had open wounds, etc. etc.

All in all a cool story to tell though.

BTW you could have died from it...very strong poison.

I thought tooth ache, root canal needed was bad, it's bad but it's nothing compared to Gout. I had mild stiffness in toe joints and then one day got the full force of gout.

27 surgeries, motorcycle crashes, I've experienced a few things but nothing hurt like the catheter being pulled out.

In shop class friends and I were playing soccer with a ball of tape in the wood room. Friend next to me fell back breaking a big over strained shelf that went about 12 feet high, which, among other things, had about twenty 2 x 4's stored on the top shelf.

Not realizing what happened, as I was looking straight ahead, I see the look of terror on my friends faces and simultaneously see 2 x 4's falling on each side of me, then feel one crack my skull. Blood everywhere, 14 stitches and staples nice scar on the hairline, painful skull for weeks.

These busted ribs & collarbone and this shit in my knee hurt pretty bad. But I kind of liked it.

The lacerated liver & spleen and bruised lung hurt as well. But the worst was the broken eye socket, and my brain swelling and pushing on my left eye. That was horrible.

that sucks for sure... had both shoulders scoped, and both elbows operated on... worst pain I've ever experienced. made me physically sick if I banged any of them after their respective surgeries. even know if I over extend myself, like the motion of painting a wall or similar overhead arm work, feels like I have a very bad flue, my whole body aches, fever etc..

I get cluster headaches. They are well documented as the most severe pain known to man, and I get them for weeks at a time, usually twice a year... every year, for the last 20 or so. It's like getting jabbed in the side of the head with an icepick over and over again for hours, just to repeat it every single day for weeks. When I get an episode, I'm usually in tears.

They've been called "suicide headaches" due to people killing themselves to rid the pain.

I take Imitrex injections at $100 a pop just to relieve the pain... they really hurt that bad.

A few lines from Wikipedia:
The pain of cluster headaches is markedly greater than in other headache conditions, including severe migraines; experts have suggested that it may be the most painful condition known to medical science.

Analogies frequently used to describe the pain are a red-hot poker inserted into the eye, or a spike penetrating from the top of the head, behind one eye, radiating down to the neck, or sometimes having a leg amputated without any anesthetic.

Our patients were disabled by the disorder and suffered from bouts of pain from two to twenty times a week. They had found no relief from the usual methods of treatment. Their pain was so severe that several of them had to be constantly watched for fear of suicide. Most of them were willing to submit to any operation which might bring relief.

Packing/Stuffing a wound is one of the worst feelings in the world. It seems like ages before it starts to heal. The human body sure is an amazing thing.
