    Who would like to read my E Book on how to shoot porn?

    It's about time I get back to it and now all the negatives are scanned I plan to edit one video a day and write some more and edit what I have.

    What I'm going to do with it is try to sell it via some sites online. The publisher I was talking to offered a deal I wasn't happy with. Exclusivity with no promises of revenue.

                                              If it were an e-book on marketing, no (I have you on ignore because your marketing comments muddle up the board IMO), but if I was interested in porn shooting and you took the time to write a genuinely good e-book (not the crap that is often typical in many ebooks) then yes perhaps.

                                                                                      Coming along nicely. My only problem is learning the new controls on a computer editing program. Enjoying myself remembering old times. Would anyone like to see where I was 18 years ago in terms of shooting video?

                                                                                      The level I'm aiming at won't need a lot of instruction on editing. If they want to shoot up market, they should know or better still employ a full time editor.

                                                                                      What I'm writing is about the actual shooting. Which some seem to have little clue about. How to deal with models, construct a scene so it's not just another dumb broad on a sofa, how put a shoot together, present yourself as a shooter who has a clue.

                                                                                      I would love to discuss with you the different aspects of shooting porn. You would have to understand it's firstly a business we're in and not a hobby. I have always said people need to pay far more attention to the product, I just feel the avenue you want to pursue is very expensive and probably going to lose money. That's not what any of us are in business to do.

                                                                                      Incidentally the pictures you posted from that shoot, where's the finished product and what was your roll on the shoot?

                                                                                                                                                          Most of the stuff you discuss I know anyway, but only due to my own 20+ years of shooting experience. However, with that said, its still stuff that I LEARNED OVER TIME... and therefore would have been handy to have all in one place, for a beginner...

                                                                                                                                                          Theres a couple of things I DONT agree with, (Regarding the talking to the model section) but thats not down to protocol. Just not the way I would do them - But then I am not you, and what you could say, as a friendly looking older guy with a camera (Uncle Paul?) simply would not work for me...

                                                                                                                                                          I also didn't like the sub heading of "Everything is up for grabs at a casting" - To me, that just sounds really pervy...

                                                                                                                                                          You include a simple form for the model to fill in - Pre Shoot - But dont include a sample model release and 2257 forms that can be printed off and used by the photographer... Perhaps add them in?

                                                                                                                                                          Finally, you list you 'Order' of things on the day of the shoot, which ends up with "paperwork' Then 'Pay the model'... While you are used to doing it this way, I would recommend that the paperwork (IDs Model Releases, HIV Test Scans etc) be done BEFORE you shoot...

                                                                                                                                                          I agree to the paying at the end, cause if you give them the money before you shoot, they loose incentive, however, for a new guy, it would make sense to get the paperwork done at the start. Just incase she doesn't have her IDs etc.... Cause if she doesn't, she will still want paying, and you wont wanna pay her, cause you cant guarantee you can sell it legally. But I am not trying to tell you how to suck eggs. I'm sure you know that already. I'm just suggesting that you tell a newbie to do it that way round.

                                                                                                                                                                          i read the ebook as you have it now, and here are a few things.
                                                                                                                                                                          1)I think newbie shooters will find some very valuable info in there. There are common sense aspects which are overlooked when scheduling and shooting and you've covered alot of those.
                                                                                                                                                                          2)I'm sure you are aware of some grammatical errors in the book. There aren't many but there are some badly misplaced commas which kind of change the meaning of what you are saying, so i would fix those.
                                                                                                                                                                          3)Photos and videos. Especially now it is imperative that shooters DO BOTH if they are selling content online or shooting exclusives. There are several BIG link sites who accept galleries/free sites and they will NOT accept vid grabs for stills. They want actual stills if you are submitting an image gallery. And a gazillion other reasons.
                                                                                                                                                                          To repeat- shooters should take stills and video for all content.
                                                                                                                                                                          4)Reflectors on hand. Don't know how much you get into reflectors but imo they can literally save you in a bind.
                                                                                                                                                                          They are also very inexpensive.

There are several BIG link sites who accept galleries/free sites and they will NOT accept vid grabs for stills. They want actual stills if you are submitting an image gallery. And a gazillion other reasons.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  To repeat- shooters should take stills and video for all content.
                                                                                                                                                                                                  Need to read it again and make sure it covers both points properly.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  4)Reflectors on hand. Don't know how much you get into reflectors but imo they can literally save you in a bind.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Thanks, need to get in some links to firms like Lastolite. Also tell people to take a few white sheets, spreading those over a wooden floor or highly covered carpet can solve color in balance. Good point and that's what I need others reading it show what I left out.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      I know its only the product of some worthless troll but you could do some screen grabs and contact twitter to have them remove it.
