Obama and Boehner Should Just Debate, Instead

In 15 minutes Obama is going to give a speech, and then immediately afterwards Boehner will give his rebuttal.

As long as we're destined to get two completely different viewpoints anyway, I think an all-out debate would have been much more interesting.

And it will likely be something along the lines of "we can't agree on a long term plan, but for the good of the country we have a temporary solution in place that will hold us over for another year and we get to play this game again next year.

        which is what Boehner wants
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
        think about that

Exactly. He wants this fight to happen in an election year. Obama has a history of giving in to the republicans so Boehner may likely get exactly what he wants.

But then they would actually have to know what they are talking about;)

What would make it interesting is if you had those two and a clued in moderator in front of a live audience who could ask questions...a live grilling if you will.

Actually I was commenting on that being the plan he wants, he doesn't want the debt ceiling to be raised far enough to fund till 2013, just till the end of the year, then again for 2012, or something like that

Correct. The plan he wants would allow Obama to raise the ceiling this year and next year, but it would also allow Congress to vote against it. However, the vote really would have no merit and not stop the raising of the ceiling, it would simply be a political tactic that the republicans would be using to say, "See we don't approve of this." That way in 2012 they can campaign that they tried everything they could to stop the great black socialist from driving us deeper into debt.
