I am doing what I always do when something happens: I try to understand the facts, I ask questions and try to form my own opinion. If the news reports on past terror attacks have taught me one thing it's that the first news reports always turned out to be incorrect, based on a lot of speculation etc.

I watched the news about 3 hours ago. They mentioned 6 tons of anfo packed into a car. At that point I don't just take their word for truth, but I try to picture how big 6 tons of fertilizer would be. I know how big a 50kg bag of fertilizer is and I also know there's no way in hell you'd able to get 120 of those in a car.

Let's say you distribute 6 tons of fertilizer over 2 cars. That's 3 tons per car. Now let's google the maximum weight a car is able to carry. I googled 3 popular minivans, none were even close to be able to carry 3 tons.

So either he used more than 2 cars, or he used another type of explosive or he bought 6 tons of fertilizer but used a smaller amount to make the bomb(s) or....

you don't read closely. he bought six tons. nowhere does it say that's what he used. your preconceptions that he was a false flag created by the state to justify state oppression is leading you to filter your perceptions.

They mentioned a 6 ton fertilizer car bomb on the news over here a couple of hours ago.

So the fact that I question a news report and point out the errors in the news report means I 'filter my perceptions'? :1orglaugh

I even mentioned alternative explanations that do not contradict the general story. (smaller amount of fertilizer than the 6 tons he bought).

Looks like you're the one 'filtering perceptions'. Right now, we know very little about what happened. In 24 hours we've already heard several stories that have already been withdrawn (Norway's involvement in Afghanistan/Lybia, Kurdish terrorist groups, lashback for the Mohamed cartoons, 2 shooters,...).

As more and more facts become available we'll better be able to form an idea of what happened and how it happened.

Police have arrested six more people following an armed raid launched in connection with the Norway twin attacks, Sky sources say.

Officers from the police's counter-terrorism force, known as Delta, swooped on a property in the east of Oslo earlier today.

Sky can reveal that police are trying to access two chemical containers at the address.

Police confirmed the operation but would not give further details or comment whether there were any arrests.

The latest arrests come as the death toll climbed to 93 after a person injured in Friday's shooting on Utoya island died in hospital, reports say.

It also follows news that the suspect accused of the massacre confessed to police that he carried out the killings but said he did not break the law.

Police said 32-year-old Anders Behring Breivik was also adamant that he acted alone.

Addressing the media earlier, acting police chief Sveinung Sponheim spoke about the suspect and how he had "admitted to the facts of both the bombing and the shooting, although he's not admitting criminal guilt".

"He says that he was alone but the police must verify everything that he said," the police chief said. "Some of the witness statements from the island (shootings) have made us unsure of whether there was one or more shooters."
