I don't even have a gun, right now.. or a Cadillac... and I don't like most wheels they're putting on cars, these days. I always kept actual Cadillac wheels on my cars... but the nice looking ones, not the regular Cadillac wheels.

I am gunless and driving a chevrolet... priorities, that is exactly right.. I don't have great credit but do have access to a rock solid cosigner and could have bought any vehicle I decided to, yet the car I am in cost $500. For $500 I got a car with new everything (engine, a/c, tires, battery, transmission, suspension, etc) and it does 25-30mpg. May look like hell because it is a 1992, but it keeps me comfortable and gets me places.

I sold my last gun before I moved up here to Wichita. Because like you say, it is all about priorities. I almost bought a 1999 Firebird a few months ago because to me the 1999 firebird is a sharp looking car, like a Camaro but Camaros are for punk ass 19 year old morons... The car I looked at had a NEW crate LT1 in it with some boltons and a 30k mile TH400(my favorite transmission in the world).. I would have paid $5000 for it. GREAT deal. But I knew I didn't need a $200 payment or 9mpg, or a car I'd had to fully insure($250/mo vs. $00/mo), so I prioritized and put myself into the little cheverolet, instead

Talked to the doctor again (the gp), she seems very much on the ball and is doing her best to get her into an endo that we can afford.. And she gets a huge generous "5 paid vacation days" per year, so she's taken those .. Just trying to keep her out of the heat, and keep her hours at work down until we can get into the endo

If the endo she sets us up with doesn't work out we'll go to every one within 50 miles until one will see us (and try some other things, suggested by friends, by people in this thread, by people on the health forum)

We've been reading up all over the internet and books from the library as well

Myself, personally, I could have done a lot better this month. I paid for pretty much everything, but wasn't very productive outside of that. Got to do better this month.

If I don't get SOMETHING MORE done this month I am going to make myself go to the local sweatshop place ( I think some call it labor ready ) as a punishment. My post was a generalization about the North American mindset these days. Priorities are all fucked up. It is the same here north of the border, but we have govt health care funded by taxes. People seem to notice the health care ass-raping much less when it comes off at the pay check and is blended in with the rest of their taxes.

But that being said, if she is a priority for you, you'll swallow your pride and take ANY job you can find that includes some sort of medical benefits package.

If you want *real* work hit me up, I have some blog writing that needs doing. Don't insult the people who might be able to help you.

That's just it.. here, they rape us, but they don't turn around and give any of it back... Have a look at how our money works and how our taxes work, here. It's like socialism without them giving some back.

We're still waiting to get into the endo, but the one she's (the doc) trying to get us in to is supposed to be very good. Supposedly most endos are just for diabetics, mostly, and this one knows the thyroid real well.

Got in for an inexpensive or free sonogram but we didn't even know (weren't told) it was still needed after having the re uptake scan (thought that was done in place of the sonogram) so of course we get the letter in the mail the day AFTER the appointment we never knew about

And there is a waiting list, if you miss the appointment, you have to wait a year. So after a half of an hour on the phone we managed to get it re scheduled for today! Good work, that is good .. I think!

Not sure what the sonogram will tell them.. The re uptake scan was inconclusive..... found small lesions that "may be cold or hot"... I think the sonogram lets them look a little closer at the actual tissue
