webalizer will give you usage stats by username

if they login w/ basic http auth you might be able to use
$_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER']
to grab their login username

not sure if it'll actually work.

Thanks a lot for you help here I've had my host install AW Stats again in Cpanel , something was wrong with my old installation.

It should be set in REMOTE_USER. That's accessible from PHP as $_SERVER [' REMOTE_USER'] .

Do not use PHP_AUTH_USER. It's non-standard, non-portable, and subject to be removed from PHP, because it was just a brain fart by Rasmus to begin with
