    Domain Keyword Confusion

    I'm working on a mainstream site and own both [keyword][location].com and [location][keyword].com and am not sure which to use. Both report the same number of searches and value, but at the end of the day is there really any difference in the long one on which would be better?

      use what is easiest to remember... use the other one as a feeder site.

          One of the two will be getting the traffic. The google keyword tool will report both as having the same, however only one of the two will have the phrase match traffic.

          What you need to do is some more analysis to work out which is the more valuable of the two.

                  i would use a keyword tool to see traffic for both and then make a decision based on that.

                      A good example I can give you is this.

                      The keyword art supplies and supplies art will be reported the same by the keyword tool, however more people search for the phrase art supplies. It's just that the keyword tool is providing a broad match, so what you need to do is work out which of your two keyword combination people are actually searching for.

                              if it has a high enough occurrence give it a spin in google trends and select by region and cities

                                      If you click the exact button in googles keyword tool you will see the keyword that gets the most searches, and that would be the one to go with.

                                      If for some (rare) reason you check exact and they have the same amount of traffic, then it really doesnt matter which one you choose.

                                          Perfect found it, there was a large enough difference, and while it was the one I was going to go with, that sold it, thanks hashbury!
